View Full Version : Qld: Friday 18th March - Pacific Blue Marker with SMS and the hennocopter

Neither of us care which course we play, but it's the blue marker at Pacific so we'd better move quickly if we want to get a spot there. Wynnum is good too of course, and conveniently rather close to my house.

I'm thinking an afternoon tee time, say 11:30-ish to allow SMS time to drive down and allow me to roll my post-game beers into my Friday night festivities. But neither of us really care what time.

Any takers to fill out the group? I wouldn't mind booking in the next day or two just to make sure we get a spot at either. Both courses' time sheets fill up rather quickly for Fridays, especially Pacific Blue Marker days.

Pacific G.C. - 7:18 off the 10th.

Will a 5am departure (about 5.35am at North Lakes) guarantee an arrival on time? Bruce Hwy has seen a bit of carnage this week.

SMS, would it be too much to ask to swing by my place and pick me up "on the way"? It might cost you about ten minutes extra in travel time.

Pick him up outside Fluffy's in the Valley. Heard you'll always catch him there walking out bow legged most mornings.

My backs sore, so are you guys alright about teeing up the ball for me? Can get the ball out of the hole as I have an old man grip on my putter.

You just want to see us bend over, don't you.

And if you can't get the ball how on earth can you expect to swing a club ya goose.

Shouldn't effect my swing but I'll be a terrible post round shower puppet.

Thanks for the hit guys, there were some good shots made by each of us but or scoring suffered due to a strong under current of suckness.

I had continued my streak of not being able to putt, nor break 90.

92/75 in the end.

And with the amount of 3-putts I had (and a 4-putt double-bogey) half of those 92 shots would have been putts. Seriously. I only had one 1-putt all day and it resulted in a birdie. Funny that.

Thanks for the round guys. Yep, we suck!

89/78. 17 two putts and 1 lonely one putt birdie for me.

The greens were actually OK for a change. They seem to be putting some extra effort into them.

They weren't anything special, but the rolled ok for the better part (albeit slow).

Did the greens recover much from a week ago ?

Heaps, in fact. They were far better than I expected, which says more about what they were like than how good they are now. Because they're not. In saying that, it's good to see the ex Bribie fellow putting in the hard yards to actually get them on the right road to being decent again.

4 GIR and 3 putted all of them. Averaged 128m off the tee for the 1st four driving holes.

Did you step that out, or did you get a GPS to measure it?
