Anyone able to compare these two fairway woods ?

I am missing my G10 4 wood and was thinking a G15 would be almost as cheap as the older version, if the performance was comparable.

I'm also a bit unsure about the Aldila fairway shaft though. The G10 I had had the PL Red.

The only piece of 'useless' information I have is this.

I was paired up in a comp with a low single marker recently. He was trialling a demo G15 fairway wood (3 wood). After the round he mentioned that he wasn't that impressed with it & was giving it back to the pro shop. I showed him my G10 (3 wood), which he had a look at and had a few swings with. He said liked the look of the G10 much more at address & like the feel of the club much more. He was going to try & track one down.

FWIW ...

Your old 4 wood is behaving really well mate, struggle to miss the FW with it! Want to try some i10's too but the 32's are doing too good a job

I had a hit last month of the G15 series 3 wood and driver, can't recall the shaft they had but they didn't feel as good as the G10 driver and 4w I have. Mine both have PL reds

Ballflight seemed a tad higher with the G15 driver, 3 wood felt alright and ball flight was ok too, distance/forgiveness wise they were very similar

I've been looking Jarro, unfortunately with the shaft I want it will be about $180. I'll just have to keep watching 3balls I suppose.

Pete, G10 looks and feels better than the G15.

In this case I do not believe newer is better.

If they are anything like the drivers the G15 feels like a pile of shit, there is a reason Westwood has a G15 headcover with a G10 under it.

I found the G15 driver pretty tinky and hard off the face as well, whereas the G10 was solid.

I've asked Edwin Watts if they can still get the G10 off Ping, we'll wait and see.
