Nearly died TWICE on the drive back...

FFS, some dickhead yob bogan in an XR8 was towing a trailer and a bonnet sized piece of plywood just flew out of the back and 'aqua planed' straight at me. On Port Kennedy Dve between HJ's and the highway. Had to brake hard and veer right, into the opposing lane, to avoid the thing hitting my car (and possibly coming thru the windscreen!) I pulled level with him on the highway and there he was, with his three dickhead yob bogan mates, blue singlets, a bunger hangin' out the side of the gob...and a beer in hand!

And then again just after Thomas Rd...where it merges, a large truck in the left lane decides to move into the right lane to avoid someone coming in to the freeway. He just dived right, no looking in his VERY large mirror, nothing. I almost locked up the brakes at 100k's. It was that or veer right into the concrete barrier...

No wonder there are so many crosses at the roadsides down that way...total F**KWITS.

Fit and I shot the same score off the bat. He played very very solid golf. My game was flashy and ugly throughout the day. 3 x 3 jacks including one from 12 foot on 16.

I'm happy but pretty pissed off with some bad shots. Fit should be mighty happy but I reckon he may be a little miffed with his second last putt.

Not really. More pissed with leaving the first putt so short, considering ALL the long putts I had on the back nine went 6ft+ by the hole. It was a good putt, all considered.

Also more pissed with losing that ball from the fairway bunker on 9. A pretty bad club selection. Even worse execution.

I am pretty happy though. Mizuno sucks. TourFit is WAAAAYYYY better.

Mega pulled his drive left on Par 5 8th. He was blocked out by shrubbery and proceeded to get a line back to the fairway (which was COMPLETELY wrong). He then hit it 45* right of where he needed to go, and headed over towards the tee boxes of the 9th. Luckily, I got a decent look at where it went and found it under the crap, next to the cart path. Mega then chipped it out next to the ladies tee on 9 and from the rough hit a 6 iron for his 4th shot. FAT.

He just yelled out "GO... Get the path". I was blocked out from the line of the shot, but heard the click as it bounced off the cart path and into the front right trap. He also played an awesome bunker shot to about 2 ft (almost holed it, for what would have been the ARSIEST. PAR. EVER.)

really frustrating game atm, striping it on the range and practice games just getting myself into weird and wonderful places in games. i had 5 funky lies yesterday all on the fwy after good drives. it's just the way it goes sometimes.
