I know this may sound a bit funny given what has been happening over the last couple of days but I have booked Gailes AGAIN for Sunday. Two Tee Times 11:40 and 11:48 - single stableford comp.

No carts allowed on the course but the Pro Shop said that the course is in quite decent condition. The 1st and 2nd hole are most affected holes but only in the low laying areas. Greens are all good.

1. Nudgee
2. Perci
3. Graham
4. Lucasto23

We'll be right - Gailes is in 10 times better than Nudgee condition and there is no rain forecast for the weekend - WOOHOO!!

Surely the roads around Gailes will be in poor shape?

Stop calling me Surely - nope they are all good, a bit dirty and muddy and I am sure a pothole here and there but unless you are driving a Lambhorgini, you should be right.

I am planning on helping a flood affected colleague otherwise would jump in.

It is a toss up... Nudgee south was wetter then the north on the Tuesday report but they but it in play.

Gailes does handle the wet better but it was flooded. At least Nudgee has been drying since Tuesday.

How high did it flood?

Good luck guys, hopefully I may now be able to pick up my kids from Bundy now that the highway is open.

Yeah I am gonna spend all of tomorrow helping a work colleague (along with ten other work mates) who lives in Rocklea so will need a "flood free" distraction on Sunday

Peter RS I dont know how high the water went but only the 1st and 2nd hole were affected so the pro shop dude said the rest were in good condition. Nudgee is a mess - they have not mowed the rough for a while and the fairways are waterlogged so it will be very hard going.

If there is no final interest in the second group by late this afternoon, I will call the club and cancel it.

Thanks guys Enjoyed the day very much. Course is in excellent condition considering the rain that has gone through in the last week or two. Bunkers were gur but otherwise good.
37 points for both myself and Teckee.

course was in great condition considering - it was nice to hit off dry lies again.

Greens were a bit funky but still adequate enough - flood only really affected 1 and 2, rest were good.

37 points as well

How was Nudgee gents??

Nudgee was surprisingly good. Still some water patches in between some holes. The bad areas seem to be in places that you shouldn't be hitting the ball anyway. Fairways were dry, only had to take relief a couple of times.

10 was probably the worst fairway, but 100 x better than last time we played on the south course.
