I tried to book us in for this today and was told they are already full!. We have gone on the reserve list, but I don't think it will happen. Sorry guys.

Don't wish to sit on a reserve list, so Eag's can take my spot if he wants it.

I got a 'phone call from the club this arvo. They have enough reserves now to put together a 2nd day Charity Day on Thursday 27th January. I think they are talking 11.30am shotgun start, but I will confirm with the club tomorrow and update here.

Let me know if you are still interested/available, so I can advise the club one way or another.

Thanks

Dave

Reddie Bay is in great nick, hardly a damp patch to be seen. Fairways are excellent and reasonably firm with a bit of run. Bunkers have all been repaired, the mowing is up to date, and the rough is not quite as long as it was! Greens are good, though a tad slow as they are avoiding shaving them in the hot weather. Fingers crossed the rain stays away. Remember carts are provided in the price (2 to a cart). Details are all in the OP.

See you there!

Sweet.

So when does good golf win an Ambrose Marto!?;)

I don't think there are any expectations of contending. It is more about a good fun day on the course with good company. The chance to support a worthy cause. And the chance to hit some aggressive, perhaps radical shots, mostly off the fairways for a change!:roll:8)

If we are playing radical shots .... i better wear my radical pants.

Thanks for joining in today guys, the day was awesome. More importantly we were awesome!8). 10 birdies in a row and we almost stole the day with our net 55!. We can blame the free beer chick on the 10th tee for over lubricating us!;)

Will let you know the final figure, but seems with AMP matching the funds raise, that they managed to exceed $50,000 for the flood appeal over the 2 days. Pretty impressive effort by the clubs involved. And how funny is Fred Lang!

Thanks again for organising the day Dave, I had a ball :)
We played well as a team backing each other up when needed. The 10 birdies in a row was fun, for awhile there we were looking at shooting anything.
Fred Lang is one funny bastard

The other thing I forgot to mention about today was the presentation.
Just about every person who won a decent prize (including the winners of the day) donated their prizes straight back to be auctioned for charity.
I thought that was a fantastic gesture by all involved :smt038

Just got home from a bloody long day!!! Thanks again Daves for organising a fantastic day - we almost looked like professionals with the 10 birdies in a row - how good were we!!
I think I agree with you all that bloody beer chick spiked our drinks.

Sorry I could not stay for drinks but it turned out to be one hell of an afternoon at work.

Reddie Bay has just released details on final funds raised from the 2 days. $32,000 total, with the AMP Foundation matching $ for $ taking it to $64,000 total. Amazing effort!
