Hi Guys. A mate from work who plays in a social golf club has just bought a GPS unit however, doesn't have a computer and has asked me to attempt to load some courses onto it for him (sorry, I don't play golf and have never used one of these golfing GPS units). I was hoping someone here could help with some of their course data files. The unit is a GeoGolf Golf Green Rangefinder and is compatible with iGolf files or manual input of POI's. The social club regularly plays at the following courses:

Rosewood, Lowood, Sandy Gallop, Boonah, Laidley, Wolston Park, Gailes and a trip to Tenterfield.

If anyone could help with iGolf files or GPS coordinates for any or all of these courses it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
James

A mate just purchased a Mojo unit which is identical and the CD supplied has a program which allows the compilation of GPS data from Google Earth. If the software supplied has a create section it is very simple.

All you need is a course layout and hole par and distances. Most club websites have this information.

This software would not be welcome by igolf as it will harm their major income stream.

iGolf is a subscription map data service, so that would be one option.

Hey mate..
If you go to www.igolf.com (http://www.igolf.com) you can buy a yearly membership for $30. This allows you to download 100 GPS course files in the year.
Hope this helps..

Cheers

*Edit* Look like Daves beat me to it.

Thanks everyone. The courses I am chasing don't have any course layout information on their websites. I bought the membership for iGolf but have now found out as its a Mojo unit, their software is only compatible with their branded units. Has anyone else got any other ideas?

Have never heard of, or seen a Geogolf GPS, and can't find anything useful on google either.

OK, if you search on Mojo rather Geogolf, a lot more info comes up. I assume, this is the unit?

Says iGolf should work, but can't find anything on iGolf to verify this. Perhaps send an message/email to the seller, they might be able to clarify for you.
