Classic. That's how cavity backs should look. (ala J33CB, 710CB, Miuras, etc).

Hot.
I think they'd look better with a ferrule though.

nice clean lines, lovely club. don't like the gauge design typeface and logo tho, would love to redesign them.

i like plain "classic" looking clubs, but something about them doesn't do it for me

I'm pretty sure they were just heads and the photographer has just crudely slipped a shaft in there for the photos.

Not much, bog standard design that many use

Buy these for $20 a head and rough em up with some course sandpaper, and all your mates will Ooh Aah just the same.

I think live4golf wants to stick a shaft in there too.
Also, they would look better with a bit of bag chatter.

I thought Gauge Design folded a while ago and some guy bought the rights to the name and is making stuff out of china now (unlike the previous Jap produced GD)!
Pete
They used to do great putters!!!

I'm interested to hear what you consider a nice looking cavity back if you don't like these. Genuine question.

They look nice, but as everyone else has said... just another clone. You'd do your arse in resale too :)

Being 10th anniversary model they may be designed to look like irons that are 10 years old?

It only matters what they look like at address, not from the back.

In general, I'm not a huge fan of full cavity irons. I prefer the blade/muscle back look.
I do rate the srixon i302's, and the Nike VR cavity irons.

But having said that, I would never put them in play.

VR Cav's are ugly compared to the glorious Tour Proto Split Cavities they released in the early 2000's. I need to upload a pic of them.
They are probably THE best looking Nike iron ever, although in reality they look like a Miura CB201

But the playing partners only get a woody from seeing the fancy irons upside down in the gof bag.
Hmm, I think i just worked out why chicks get those tattoos on their backs.

kind of reminds me of the old cleveland TA7 action clubs
http://www.equip2golf.com/images/newproducts/2001/cleveland_ta7_post.jpg
nice simple clean cut design
I personally hate the look of the most of the irons these days...with stickrs, insters and all that bling when there is no need to put bling into a cavity back iron...even the mp58's from mizuno while a lovely set of irons - that instert in the back made me puke

Good looking club, just not worth the asking price.
