You got to let God play through. Time to pack up when you hear that thunder coming, as lightning can get you 10klms from the storm cell.

Yeah, that's true but it's amazing how lightning can appear in the middle of a pearler of a round. Makes it hard to stop also if your buddies have a good round and wants to keep playing. Anyway it's a tragic story and on the off chance that any of his friends or family should view this thread, I would like to say that I feel for your loss and wish you all the best.

In a bizarre way, reminds me of the Reverend golfing in Caddyshack.

I'm currently playing the Legends PGA Tour Championships here in Byron, had a 10:40 tee time yesterday, managed to miss most of the storm, but play was suspended several times due to lightening... I guess its a sensitive matter at the moment!

I didn't know that light sensitivity was such a serious issue. If people have issues with lightening they should stay in a dark room.

You know how people always say "he died doing what he loved"? I love golf but this is no way to go out. I especially feel for those left behind in this instance - mus be hard to come to terms with.

RIP fellow golfer. Condolences to the family.
