Played a 4BBB Stab today at Reddie Bay. The team finished with 45 points and I managed to string together 37 points on my own, with a birdie on the last to bring me back!.

A couple of good U & Ds and a sand save were let down by 2 three putts on the cored greens. Still reasonably happy with my overall game at the moment.

Groan! The rot continued. I was hitting well behind the ball today; this is a bad thing on a wet course. Very little positives, but I did manage to avoid wiping any holes. I feel that 31 points is flattering though.

Standard formula for a golf game today. Play well at the start to get expectations up, play shit for a few hours with a good 9th to make sure I didn't leave at the halfway mark, then finish strong to make sure you play the game again.

I'm not playing great, but I'm making it worse by giving up on rounds and holes. At least I saw glimpses of my normal golf game today.

Next round: Dunno. Wednesday comp somewhere probably.

Two-ball ambrose at Bonnie Doon today.

Shot 68 to finish in the balls, but never a shot at winning it.

Personally played really well. Made two birdies myself (ie. all the shots we took were mine) and seven pars the same.

Hoping to play a couple of arvos after work this week and get some practice in for a couple of comp rounds next weekend.

Gross - 89 : 37 Putts.

Three "others" did the damage today and a very ordinary putting day.

Played yesterday morning in 35 km/h average winds. Went out knowing i had to shoot 76 or better to get to a 3 handicap.

Cold topped my drive off the first, went a grand total of 55 metres. Huge block slice for second shot. Punch out of trouble to about 140 out, 9 iron on to 15 feet and make the putt for bogey.

Next hole, bomb a drive down the middle and block a wedge 30 yards long and left. Chip on to 8 feet and miss the par putt. 2 over through 2, a 76 looking about as likely as Solarman breaking 80 this decade.

Parred 3, birdied 4, Parred 5 & 6, lipped out eagle on 7, Parred 8 through 12, birdied thirteen. Somehow now one under and trying not to choke over the last 5. Lipped out birdie putt from 40 feet on 14, but also lipped out par putt from 4 feet. Parred 15 through 18 for an even par 72 and now down to 3.0 exactly, my lowest ever.

10/14 fairways.
12/17 GIR and 1 under reg.
31 putts.
4/6 up & downs from within 30 yards.

72-4-68 (40 stableford points) to win A grade by 2 points. Won't be playing another competition round this year so will enter 2011 on 3, probably only for one round though as a played to 1 is my next round to come off.

Played crap yesterday, actually crap would have beaten me. Have no idea where the ball is going to go when standing on hte tee. Could be a pull hook or could be a slice. I wish it just was a slice I used to know where it possibly could end when it was only a slice. Yesterday at Mt Broughton more than 10 feet of the wide fairways was a reload, it was tough.

I hit Gailes on Friday in the Dingo.
Seriously one of the most huid days I've played in...it was just draining.
Held it together ok for an 88 off the bat nett 73.
Held a bunker shot on the 12th for birdie and birdied 7 too.

Not a bad score in the Dingo Rich. Should trim a little off the hcp as well.

Looking back I'm seriously pissed about the three putt on 14 (especially when I was only 85 out and wedged on to the front edge) but considering the round could have been SO MUCH WORSE I'm very happy at this stage. Been a while since I went under par though and this was a perfect opportunity. Oh well, Que Sera.
