Only one for me - #3. In fact, I did it in my last round. Told the guy I was playing with that I was going to hit a fade to go around the bunker at the front right. My little fade turned into a little slice and I ended up having to play a Mickleson-esque flop shot over said bunker.

#20 All the time. I'm forever whinging about shots that end up on the green.

Because they're Solarman's shots and not yours?

All of the above

Liars.

It's the truth. I'm too much of a hacker to do half of them, and I never watch pro golf so I haven't picked up the other half.

3 do it often, and generally go ok at it when going for the draw. Although a fair few attempted fades end up as straight shots (i generally hit a draw) and massive pulls.

7. love the twirl on a well struck iron.

9. Driver, last week, after I cut 1.5 inches off the shaft

10. Double cross...refer to point 3.

20. Yep, because if it is outside 10 feet then 3 putts are a real chance!

I own a vinyl staff bag does that count. I am OCD and get stuck on a single brand - at present Adidas clothes .... still stuck on Cobra irons bought my Baffler Blades in 1986 and my Pro CB's 2 years ago. If I tried to tap a ball on a tee with a club or shoe it would fall off...
I try not to wear a brown belt with black pants

Zero.

I have lead tape on the sole of my putter. That doesn't count.

2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 17, 19, 20, 21

Although 21 is a bit harsh. Pelican play a few comps where is is Black for A grade and Blue for the rest.

Some are definitely worse than others. #7 is the worst, you're a wanker if you do that!

Disagree. 23 is by far the worst.

The amount of times I've seen people walk up to check out the green and then flub their approach halfway would easily be triple figures. Funnily enough it seemed to happen A LOT in junior tournaments...

hmmmm....i'm in trouble

#3 my round was shot to pieces anyway so called a power fade off the last tee....pulled it off too which was a first for the day
#17 yes...guilty

Why? Because you do #7? ;)

With the club twirling crap, the pros look like tossers. If someone does that, the first words out of my mouth are "you look like a *&#%ing idiot"

the only time a twirl a club is trying to grab it again after accidentally dropping it

TheNuclearOne
30th November 2010, 06:02 PM
Only #3 and #9 for me and even on #3 it's more a "i hope i can" than a statement of fact. I don't think i've ever played with anyone who would hit more than three of the points. In fact i'm sure of it.

One that's not on there that maybe should be is;
26. Do you wear a mock tee?

I bought one of these about 5 years ago and wore it probably twice. A few weeks ago I was going to golf and dragged it out of the cupboard to put on and , hey presto, instant poser.

It went back into the cupboard. Are these things still ok to wear?

That may have a little to do with it...

But in all truth, I hate the walking up to the green thing because its just such a waste of time, especially when they can't land the ball within 5 yards of where they want to anyway. If you need to know that badly whats up on the green then come out before your round and do it. Don't hold me up when you're just gonna screw up your shot anyway.

Oh man, I already own one of these and just bought another. Are these not cool anymore?

It's just a t-shirt, I don't see the problem with them.

Mock turtle necks are fine. Wish I had of worn one in the Champs this year. It would have explained the tight feeling I had around my neck towards the end of the 2nd round.

2 is just not true...
3 is more likely done AFTER the shot usually doesn't go where it was supposed to...
4 I concede, I have a Lajosi putter and another with my name on it (and initials on two others!)
7 I don't do the twirl...
8 I always WEAR the sunnies (very rarely leave them on the hat)
15 No pants with slots or cuts in the cuffs...
24 No comment...I believe this is slightly unfair. (I've never even been to Carnoustie!)

yes to 3, 5, 14.
i don't mind the ones that concern actually hitting shots.
the ones for posing are just annoying.
