Yes, I know before you all start in on me, this topic has been done before but, I have a coupla questions...

1. Compressed Air: I have a small compressor in my 4x4 but, it does not store pressure - would this do the job or do you need stored pressure to blow grips off? (And yes, I understand the need for a piece of pipe over the grip for safety)

2. If removing grips from clubs where water activated grip tape was used, is there another way to get these grips off in tact or is stored pressure, compressed air the only way?

this is what I use...
it can be a bitch to use on the callaway grips and winn grips...
but a bit of practice and patience, this simple tool is awesome...syringe is just crazy!!!

using a compressor would help, but u'll prob end up bubbling the grip...

1. You can get away without the tube if there is no double sided tape, I have taken grips on and off using a large bike pump (normally when I don't want to start the compressor at night or when just taking one grip off) hard to do with one person, or double sided tape.

2. Syringe, but it puts holes in your grips that can tear and make using compressed air harder.

These are fool proof.
I use this on all my expensive Scotty grips, just have to take your time and be patient.
Id never use a compressor on a CS Grip unless i have blown it on with a compressor in the first place.

Just got one of these in the last Golfworks group buy. Did my first glued grip removals today. I used Methylated Spirits and it worked a treat! Buggered the first one up because I inserted the Grip Remover too far under the grip after I had added the Metho and then couldn't get it out again!, so had to cut that one off.

2nd attempted went much better. I only inserted the grip remover perhaps 10cms this time. Added the Metho and then used the compressor (with guard) to blow the grip off. Came straight off and one brand new Titty tour velvet saved.

They are a blessing those tools, especially when removing $70 grips!
