Whilst I am thinking about purchasing Jarro's Vokey 58*, I thought I would have a look at ebay for a 54*, to go with my existing 50*.

Vokey 54* (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3674275039&category=1517&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1)

I emailed him for larger pics and received the following additional info:

The groves on the face are in great condition and the only damage to note is scuffing and on the sole. All due to the soft metal. A genuine 6 out of 10, 7 at a push.

You can view the larger pictures here (note: they are quite big).
Vokey Face (http://members.optusnet.com.au/~apholden/mypic9.JPG)
Vokey Back (http://members.optusnet.com.au/~apholden/mypic10.JPG)

I question the care for the club, when the face isn't even cleaned for an ebay auction. And it's a shame there is no picture of the sole provided.

What is the most that I should pay for this club? Or should I give it a miss altogether and wait for a better one to come along?

AndyP,

i'd probably go as high as $60-$70 ..... no higher. As long as the club isn't too dinged up ... it's hard to see in the smaller pic's

If you can get it for that, you'll have a good buy in my opinion 8)

Good Luck :!:

What? You couldn't tell from the humongous picture? Or are you talking about the shaft?

That's jarro's club, Jaster, and I'm pretty much sold on that one.
What do you think of the ebay auction though?

If you get it for under or around $60 to $70 shipped then it should be worth it...maybe even a little more. See if he will email you close pics of the face...looks damn worn!!
FWIW that is the same club (except I have oilcan finish) that I have and it is a fantastic club 8)

I was there but I got sniped in the last 30 seconds. #-o
Put that one down to inexperienced ebaying from me. Although who knows what the other guy would have been willing to pay. I will know better for next time.

Sigh. Still sh*tty at myself for letting it go.

Ha, ha.
I've wondered about that though. My asking for advice on an ebay item on this forum or others, is potentially adding additional bidders to the auction. :-k
No sweat, you guys can be trusted.

you can trust us, but any dudes on other sites might not be so nice O:)

it's usually best not to mention a "hot" deal on E-Bay until you've actually won it .... you just never know

do you particulary want a Vokey 54* :?:
