It was such a good weekend... even in a class 5 cyclone and 4 hours sleep a night, the weekend just flew by.

Highs.
- The weather on Saturday - didn't get rained on once.
- Punt winners putting it on the bar. (for all of 15 minutes, see below)
- Eag's putting on Day 1. I think we were 5 down after 8 holes, he sunk everything and crushed our souls right out of the gate.
- Meeting Leah and the kids, the kids were much better behaved then we were...
- No bunker shots
- AndyP's driver to 3 feet in a gale
- Shavey's amazing intake of Vodka and still able to stand... sort of.
- DC's amazing new language which was a mix of Scottish and Klingon
- Ferrin's going c0ck-eyed and tennis exploits.
- Coins against the wall, piss easy game.

Lows
- Ferrin's going c0ck-eyed and tennis exploits.
- $8 beers. We have to sort that next year.
- The weather, never have i played in anything like Sunday. It was insane.
- Coolumn being called off.
- Going home.

Never have I been to such an event where I have pretty much laughed, drank and been merry from Friday 11am till Monday 2am. Huge thanks to Shavey and lads for their organisation skills and for making it such a top weekend.

Newbies, get into it next year. No one bites except for Solarman, but he should be banned by then.

Enjoy.

He's whining a lot too, at the moment! Seriously though, how is gonna defend the NAGA next year if he's banned?

...Maybe he'll get a sponsors exemption to come out of exile, and then can be fully reinstated if he defends successfully

It's on my 'Things To Do' list for next year! (Just below Kate Beckinsale and Charlize Theron...then again, they are on there every year and keep getting carried over)

Don't miss it. Each year has something different and special. And this year we did not have ... STOP ... Hammertime!

Highs
- Making 4 on the 9th and 10th on Sunday. Fk they played long.
- Doing a Michael Hutchence on the 18th.
- Meeting a couple of people who I have been heaping shit on for a while in person.
- Solarman duly saluting for the NAGA as expected.
- The staff at Pelican. They are the best club staff anywhere.
- The course holding up as well as it did. It is a miracle that we got 36 holes in.

Lows
- The shithouse weather.
- The fact that there is hardly a cloud in the sky today.
- Mobile phone malfunctions in the west.

Another high for me was the Virgemeister's impromptu lesson on the carpet at midnight. Awesome stuff.

Watching the boys toss gold coins against a wall, anything for a punt.

Then watching Virge walk away with an overflowing handfull of gold coins, priceless.

Highlights
The realisation that free vodka (thanks sms) and vodka you've bought taste the same after a bottle:smt030
The opportunity to spend a wonderful weekend with some truly beautiful people
Taking Courty's money in our head to head
Not having a staff member in the function room on either night
The generosity of the punt winners on all nights; pity I was already looked after
The little get together in my room on Sunday night. Glad you could ALL make it with plenty of space to spare
Going on a three birdie cart blitz with Shaz on Sunday; still wasn't enough to take the money but a belated half is enough (thanks golflink)
Hitting some good tee shots into the 4th on both Saturday and Sunday only to come up empty handed
Arriving home safely after what would have been the worst.driving.conditions.ever!
That where's there is a course, there's a game!

Lows
The morning after times two.. oh my guts but still no chuck for the whole weekend! You could learn something DC :smt078
More shanks than points for the front 9 on Friday
Not being able to take in ANY of the information Virge was dishing out at empty vodka bottle o'clock
We only do this once a year :(
Paying out more than I won...
The prick who won $1500.00 on the pokies whilst NK and I were picking up the poker chips
Ringing the wrong Courty to pass on a message to turn on the oven for the pizzas. Wonder if it will get a look in for his next column :)

Plenty more highlights but best of all would be we could nearly start the count down to 2011. Thanks to all who made the wonderful weekend what it was :)

Now that is funny, almost like when Golfer69 was emailing porno to the wrong Bruce Young for years.

Virge - I'm surprised that a story involving the number 6 did not make your list.

It seems to be a thing with me and Poker at the champs...

That was a bloody funny night... Shavey was on fire when he started predicting cards. But absolutely cried when the 6's came up.

Just a top weekend.

How good was the Apartment that Shavey organised as the group room for Sunday night! I assume they sleep at least 4 comfortably!? If so, they would be go over the hotel room style studio suites, as good as they are. Price wise also competitive as well.

Daves, the apartment was great with loads of room.

PeteyD

Definitely looking into an apartment if we are at PW next year. 2 Singles in one room and a queen in another. There is a sofa bed, but you get Ned's problem with them in that you have to wait until everyone else goes to bed first.
