View Full Version : Anyone played a Fuji Speeder 757?

I've read a lot of mixed information about this shaft...some say it is very stout and lacks feel, whereas others say it isn't overly tip stiff & is easy to hit.
I can get one very cheap, but I really can't be bothered going of the process of shafting/re-shafting if I don't like it. I'm not a huge fan of very stiff tip shafts, a whiteboard is about as stiff-tipped as I like, so I'm not sure.
Can anyone who has hit one shed some light on this shaft?

My opinions
Plays a bit stout to flex.
Is quite demanding actually. The WB from memory has a little stiffer tip but is noticably easier to load due to it's softer butt. The 757 is a pretty stiff profile right thru the length. It's also quite heavy in a driver at 78 odd grams.
Anyway, all this adds up to make it well suited to a guy that loads the shaft pretty heavy. It's a fantastic shaft if you do.

I think DC68 has one in his trusty ol' faithful TMR7HLTXXXXXX thing.

I might get it and stick it in my hybrid instead.
I'm borderline x-flex, and usually play stiff. Seeing as the 757 is a stiff flex (and will play stiff to flex), I think I'll stick to a whiteboard. The 757 will probably be too much shaft for me in a driver.
Thanks for the feedback.

As stated earlier, it's a great shaft if you can load it.
I had one in my first TM 300 Tour and it was a bomb !!!

I picked it up for $70. One time pull (brand new), spine aligned, yada yada.
Haven't put it in anything, but if I don't like it you're welcome to it...
