I realise that there will be very little interest in this, but thought I'd ask anyhow. Solarman & I are playing for a lotto ticket. Anyone else is welcome to join in for the same stakes.

I backed Cairns, 4 from 5 for the weekend, clean sweep upset by the Crocs narrow loss on Friday nite.

Courty, u would be happy with the taipans performance against my 6ers the other night. Ur imports Ubaka and Loughton are pretty solid, it's probably the rest of the support crew which will need to play well for u guys to have a good year. It's the only tip I missed this week.. :mad:

Loughton is an aussie. ;)

They did play well. In fact, I thought they looked as though it was midway through the comp. No early season jitters to be seen at all. We've still got Kerry Williams to come back into the squad, and Ron Dorsey needs more time to learn the system. I'm gonna make an early call that Loughton will figure heavily in MVP & Scoring Titles. I've been very very impressed by Daniel Dillon also. I can't believe he hasn't been a regular NBL player for a few years already. The guy is a great baller.

Ubaka played at the Blaze last year, he was pretty sharp until he got injured/didn't want to play!

Blaze have a habit of being slow out of the blocks, but once Goulding and Worthington got some points the game changed. Worthington has been disappointing todate, but seems to be finding his game.

Off to see the Blaze play the Breakers this weekend. Breakers have shown good early season form but still picking a Blaze win, although not by many.

Blaze looked good in the last 3 quarters against Cairns. They'll win more than they lose this year. Hopefully the Breakers are peaking early, although Kirk Penney will be back with them in time for this game. I really don't like the Breakers, but I suspect that it's because I don't like any team that CJ Bruton plays for.

I was a big fan of Harvey back when he was with Perth. Matter of fact have a few singlets of his. Followed the Wwildcats up until last year and then thought it best to follow the local team Taipans.

Easy win for the breakers, made for a boring as hell 2nd half. Neither team could buy a basket early, until the Breakers went on the run early in the 2nd, never looked like turning into a close game after that.

All season the Taipans have been plagued by periods where their offence stutters and breaks down. Tonight's 2nd quarter was another one of those periods. Hopefully they can turn it around and win on Sunday.
