View Full Version : Ugly pants day

Courty
3rd September 2010, 06:06 PM
In honor of SMS' Palm Meadows efforts (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n21IOWBato), I propose to make the Saturday round of the Champs "Ugly Pants day". There has already been talk of some pants from Loudmouth Golf, let's see what everyone can bring to the table.

Fk me! Didn't know that I was immortalised on youtube. Was a huge wide left too.

Was a huge wide left too.

As I recall, it almost landed on the other side of the water!

But the question is, can you outdo those shorts?

Will a g-banger count?

Courty

Will a g-banger count?

If the dress regs allow it.

That could potentially generate more chunder on the Saturday than we usually expect to see on the Sunday.

Between sms and 69, the rest of us will just look plain!

If the dress regs allow it.

At all times on the golf course and practice areas, men, women and children may wear collared polo shirts and shirts in keeping with current golf fashion trends, including turtle neck shirts. Shorts must be Bermuda, knee-length or a style made for and designed for golf; tailored slacks are acceptable. Socks must be either white knee high, short plain white.
To maximise the playing condition of our golf course and practice areas, all players must wear either soft-spiked or non-penetrating, spikeless golf shoes subject to approval by the golf shop.

Bugger. I'll put some more thought into this. Maybe something semi-transparent.

You'd all be pretty hard pushed to beat those fugly green tartan shorts that MarktheBlake sold on here recently...

Who bought them?? They'd be a shoe in wouldn't they?

I sure did. I might even bring it out again this year.

Bright orange Bruce. Would come up a treat.

Bruce

I might just go plain white so as to not take any attention from the ugliness of the shorts.

AndyP

I liked the shorts that Bruce got, but I don't have the shirts to go with it.

You better talk to Haysey first. There's a chance that you could show up wearing the same outfit. Well, at least the same shoes. ;)

I'm on RBG, about to order a pair for myself. Alas, I won't be at the Champs to be in the running.

I've got some lovely light blue slacks, will have to get them out for this.

Strangely, I think they're ugly but I know a few blokes who would wear them thinking they're fashionable.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the competition might be a little tighter than you think.

The pants probably will be a little tighter as well on some...

Can someone please tell me how Courty (long pants to the right of the trophy) managed to be awarded the winner of this?

Besides SMS's pants (far left), which go beyond ugly, I thought PetethePilot's pants (far right) were seriously bad.

Daves is serious. They perfectly matched his red tartan golf bag.

Well that in itself deserves some kind of award doesn't it ?

Bruce should get a special mention for the fake tan he applied to his legs.

haysey
12th October 2010, 09:24 AM
I think the fact that the whole ensemble, all the way down to the matching golf club grips was exceedingly ghey may have worked in his favour.

PeteyD
12th October 2010, 10:16 AM
Do not know who made the decision for that award. I agree with AP, Pete The Pilots were special. The photo does not do them justice as they were a lovely mustard faux-suede.

There was a group of us sitting at the table Sat night, the general consensus was that Courty's pants won out.

After looking a little closer at that group shot, I now know who grabbed me on the arse as that shot was being taken......AP looks very pleased with him self.

Loudmouth pants cannot win any Ugly competition, they are as common as dirt now. Ugly pants have to be one of a kind.

Some good fashion sense on display there. Courty wins for me, that's a funky pair of strides.

I like the way PtP and Golfer69 have used clashing tops to really bring out the best in their pants.
