Normal Blues, as long as it's not White. It ruins the course I reckon.

eg. 18 - Blue: 395m. White: 370m and a stupid forced layup. Whites are also rated 71.

Add the run that you'd expect at the moment and it won't be that long.

And if you want a buck per hole, no probs.

Last time I was there the course was so dry we were putting out spot fires in the fairways caused by cigarettes dropped by the group ahead.
On the 8th hole Wardy hit it left into the crap and using the putter punched out sideways. His ball rolled out then turned left and started to run down the hill. We walked back to the cart then got in and drove along slowly beside the ball until it stopped and we were about 30-40m (I can't remember exactly) from the front of the green. That was about a 220m putt. Oh yeah, he made his birdie too.

If you're going to play a top course, do it right.

Don't like it as much off the tips. From back there it is not much fun at all (unlike KB which is even tougher but heaps more enjoyable), and we are there for fun!!

As for the betting, I'd rather buy stuff than bet on my meagre talent (Speaking of which, my new Adidas Tour AG Bag arrived today...WAWAWEEWA !!!!). Nothing about betting on a golf course does it for me at all !!! I'd just rather play...and it has next to nothing to do with the money. Wasn't actually hitting the ball THAT badly. Hit a lot of greenside traps and then ran the ball off the back which is pointy death. Oh wells.

Knee deep in mud man!

Ignored the red hazard line and decided to hit from creek. Front half of left foot in flowing water...right foot submeged to the laces in red/brown mud. Large, fist sized rock next to hosel (conveniently moved to save certain wrist breakage).

Impact resulted in not very much at all, except advancing it 15m further up creek.

Hits from there too. Adding a second coat of mud, on top of the now obvious undercoat. Same shot result.

Steps out of creek with now wet, red/brown caked WHITE Nike shoes. Yoss is suddenly weighed down, not by expectation though, but by about 3kg of Western Australian soil.

Sitting at the table having a beer afterwards and the clumps of red/brown mud have hardened. He was picking it off in lumps.

The best part was after taking a few shots in the creek, I threw the ball down on the fairway, nailed a driver off the deck with a cut, and found the ball on the left edge of the fairway about 60m back from where it should have been! Then I hit it into another creek. Which I then hit a sublime flop shot over and wedged the putt in from 15 feet! easy 22.

My duff off tees 1 and 18. Both resulted in solid bogeys.

My low hooking 7 iron into 4 off the downslope.

Simmsy's hybrid into 12.

Simmsy's 2 foot putt on 17 for the only birdie of the day...that missed!

Fit's great bunker shot on 18 that ran 20 foot past.

The 25 foot putt from me on 18 followed by Simmsy's 20 footer to win the skin.

Highlights...

simmsy's 175m uphill hybrid on 13 to a back left pin tucked over the bunker. Awesome. (He pulled it, and was lucky he flushed it)

I monstered a drive off 6...ended up way down the fairway with about 90m in. Hit a fat 54* wedge, followed by the anti-shot which skinnied way over the back into the gravel 20ft below & behind the green. Hit the chip into the slope, which killed it dead. Wedged it up onto the green. Putted with the wedge 'cos I didn't have my putter (I was still in for the skin at this point). Mega, from gravel and under a blackboy, almost ruined a wedge but put it somehow on the green and two putted for the half!

After no one holing a putt of any length all day, Megas' Mega putt on 18...followed by simmsy's equally Mega putt for par (and skin).

Any one of the shots Yoss hit that earned him a point! (Can't remember, didn't seem to be that many)
