View Full Version : A couple of Matrix shafts

Both of these are made fors and .335 tips:

- XFW-7 S out of a Cobra S9-1 Pro 3 wood. The club played to 43" - I'll measure the shaft itself up tonight. Clean one time pull, in excellent nick, Winn wrap grip fitted. Very good shaft for a made for IMO. $60 posted
- 60 S out of an Adams 9015D. Played to 45". No grip, one time pull, but not the cleanest, with some of the paint having flaked off around the base. Otherwise the shaft is in good nick. Might be good to chuck into a cheapish driver head. $20 posted

Both for $70 posted. Subtract $10 for Sydney pickup. I'll include a brand new GPNDMC black/white grip for free with the 60 S, or for an extra $8 with the XFW-7, or if anyone wants to buy it outright, I'll sell for $8 posted.

Pics available this evening.

I'll wait until I get home to clear my head and read this thing through clearly but I think you may have a sale.

And if I do buy it, it will be both of them

No worries - let me know if you need any clarification on anything. :) Pics will be up at about 6:30 or 7pm.

Kristians call: buyer vs ponderer

I'm not really that fussed either way. I'm looking to put these in a Mizuno MX 500 driver and a TM 300 series 3 metal. I'm not even sure if they fit.

So let's put it this way:

If they'll fit and rabsss declines to buy after contemplation, then I would like to buy them.

KristianJ

Chris, 300 Series has a .350 hosel. Virge had to shim the .335s that I have in my 15* and 17* to fit them.

Is that hard to do

KristianJ

I don't think so...probably something Perci could easily do as well, I imagine.

Not hard at all. You can make one out a coke can. Or buy a brass one.

Will do. rabsss, ball's in your court. I'll get the pics up tonight and wait for your decision.

I'm 95% certain I'll take them but I'm an extremely paranoid person and highly doubt I'll ever buy anything before I see them (obviously through images in this case) I'm going to put one of them in a three wood I have and the other I'm still pondering over

To confirm lengths, XFW-7 is 41.5" long, the 60 S is 43.5" long.

As soon as someone says sold/i'll take it, it's theirs (IMO)

I've gone in accordance with this post here. I don't want to get caught in all the "who dibbed first?" hoopla. I interpreted Chris' post to mean that he was giving rabsss first right of refusal. rabsss did not decline to buy after contemplation, so the sale goes to him.

I could ask myself "WWBD?" and start an auction of sorts, but I'm not going to. :)

Personally, I think it's a reasonable request to be given dibs pending pictures. I always follow caveat emptor and I'm just an extremely cautious person.

What if Ferrins had found something in between saying yes to Kristian and you then turning around and pulling out?

When I posted the earlier thread which said I'd take them I looked to see if you were viewing the thread. You were, and then you left with no decision being made. After 1/2 an hour I thought you might of been uncomfortable with the predicament you'd been put in. Therefore I wrote the above post.

I would like to clear the air on this:

You had 2 items for sale

I was the first person to say that I would buy them:

Another potential buyer saying he's going to think about it, has no relevance what so ever.

If you are going to continue to sell in this manner then do not list an item without the pictures.

What about the Aldila Voodoo SVS6 3 wood shaft you bought from rick3003, got a collection going.

In terms of this matrix sale, it's all over in my eyes and I could go on and on but I'm happy to just agree to disagree here.

Rick can speak for the Voodoo SVS6, but simply a mishap that occured when the shaft was being pulled before I picked it up off him rendered it no good. My shaft collection at the present moment consists of one stock Cleveland shaft from a good 6 or 7 years ago.

As I said, I'm not here to piss people off.

Chris, unfortunately I can't help it if I'm called away from my computer for half an hour, and come back to see that it had been logged off due to inactivity, then log back in to see that you'd posted what you did. I've been extremely happy with the dealings we've had in past purchases and trades, and I don't want to put you offside because I know you're a worthwhile bloke to deal with.

I'll take your suggestion on board and wait until I can get pics taken before I list stuff in the future. I am truly sorry for the confusion, and I'm sure that there'll be some matching shafts out there that will suit you well.

This pro shop is the wild west, dealing with mostly faceless unknowns with no clear selling procedures.

Indeed. I don't believe in dibs pending pics if someone says i'll take it. The sale is made without having to frig around with pics, so why bother. Most on here have a great rep and pics are not that often needed. If someone's potentially tyre kicking their loss.

I do follow KJ's train of thought 100% tho. He came back to find a different slant on the buy. Ferrins is right in that it can be a bit of a lottery LOL

Maybe AP could post an announcement as to how deals are meant to be done? Cause I've been involved in one or two things like this and it is certainly annoying.

For my next item/s for sale, I guarantee I'll have a set of terms and conditions longer than a TourFit lecture.

Anyway, what's happened has happened. They're sold, whatever I have for sale next will have pics when I post it, and I won't take maybe for an answer.
