View Full Version : Qld: Post Champs Round Poll

sms316
21st August 2010, 12:49 PM
There is an option to have the post Champs round at Royal Queensland GC. The catch is that to get the group rate of $110 per person, we require 20 participants or more.

Currently there is about 15 or so listed for the Coolum game so we need to find a few extras to commit to this for it to get off the ground. To be fair to Coolum we need to decide one way or another quickly.

For the travellers, RQ is only 10 mins away from Brisbane airport.

Get voting (as if there isn't enough of that going on today anyway).

Where's the other options for the post-Champs round ?

Some of us were trying to get a game at Wantima or somewhere else locally ??

Is the voting component of this thread a little difficult to work out?

But he is playing on the Monday. He's just not paying $100 for the privilege.

I'll host you at Wally Park if you want, jarro.

So if we get to twenty starters it's RQ, if it's less than twenty we play Coolum?

Seven to go.

Correct. I have PM'd the 15 who said that they were keen for Coolum. We require at least an extra 5 for this to have legs. And fairly quickly too.

I could ask a mate if he wanted to play...that'd get us to 17...surely we can find three more to make this happen..

Because Ned is a dumb prick who voted while pissed.

Has to be odds-on to successfully defend the blue balls trophy.

I think we might be hard pushed getting another three at the $100+ price tag.

Might have to resort a very early game at Hyatt unless sms can't get the minimum numbers down.

timah!
24th August 2010, 08:23 PM
Mate is in, so that gives us 17. Perhaps move it out of champs thread into 1st tee thread to see if we can get a few more takers. Seems like too good an opportunity to let slip...

henno

I'm rather ambivalent. I've played RQ and haven't played Coolum. But RQ is the closest course to my house besides Wynnum. So it's win-win for henno!

No chance of getting the deal for under 20. Unless we have 22 minimum by the end of the day (allowing for a couple of withdrawals), lock in Coolum.

Let me be very clear about this. If we do not have 20 people on the day, the rate becomes $200pp. I don't think it is right to drop the deal Shavey has got at Coolum without us being certain.

When do we make the final call? I think my mate is only holding 12 spots for us at Hyatt. I obviously don't want to ask for more only to cancel a few days laters.

And we might have to reconsider the start times as well due to the flight times, in particular our southern guests who are out at 2:50pm(??)

And how do we ensure no backing out?

For the record, i'd be up for RQ, not the Hyatt though...
