Hey guys - I've decided to keep the shaft and try it out for a bit with a variety of different heads

Will let you guys know if anything changes.

No interest?!?!?!?!?

Woulda thought someone would have made an offer on the shaft :p

I am surprised you can't hit a draw with the FT Tour. The clubfitter and two of the pro's at my range use the FT Tour and reckon it's really workable...

I have one (I have a natural draw), and find it easy to fade. Can draw it (slightly), but I'm not that good at working a ball.

Not sure many guys spend that much on shafts these days.

an x would have been what I was looking for.

I reckon the reason why I don't can't hit a draw is because of the shaft - its pretty darn low launching. So more often than not, I think hitting a high fade to carry obstacles is less risky for me than hitting a low draw.

I'd realistically need a 10.5 lofted head to get this to where I would like for it to be.

I have the 10.5 with the Voodoo and it is an absolute weapon. Quite high launch, but scarily big carry.

AP81 - any chance perhaps you would like to change to a 9.5 since its a little too scary :p

attractive bag setup. 100% Callaway?

As for me I'm going back to my old school set up of Titleist where I played heaps better. Just looking for the '91ish Tour model blades and I'm good to go.

and maybe an FT Tour for back up...

ippissimus

Nah not 100% Callaway. I've put the Cobra ZL back in the bag and my irons are Mp58's with Nippon 1150's in them :)

Ah how is that driver btw? Was curious about it and its distance.

ippissimus

I actually hit the ZL a country mile! But cos of the 46" shaft I can pretty much win any long drive contest, cept I can also play a hook that goes about 5 fairways across. I've been told that its pretty similar to the TM Burner Superfast.

decisions, decisions. I did have a hit yesterday at the shop with the FT Tour stiff voodoo. Had to slow my swing down a bit, but the club felt solid. I prefer the fubuki though.

ippissimus

If I had known the Alpha was just that tad lower launching than the Fubuki Tour I would have definitely got a 10.5 head.

I've also dropped the price down!

$130 pp and I'll take the head of your hands...

I drop the price dramatically and still get lowballed lol.

C'mon AP81 - its only $20 extra + postage for the head.

You are mad, stick it on ebay, $150 is too low !

henno

Far too low. You'll get more than that for the head; not so sure about the shaft.

Ebay it mate, don't rip yourself off. Super heads these. If the shaft was the 70 i'd nab it.

Any takers for the shaft?

Need? Lets talk about want

The purchases are now actually slower than the offloading LOL. Wonders never cease

Give me a few weeks LOL. Seriously tho, beyond a few shafts and maybe one driver head and one FW there's not a lot i yearn for at the moment. Wouldn't mind trying some R9 irons too.

Burner Superfast TP are almost on close out prices in the USA, what's on the horizon ? Another driver release, so soon ?

Good question. The SFTP i think may have been their best release in years tho, certainly among the non MWT's. Great price and a great driver. Wouldn't mind one of those Tour loved silver bottom SF's

I see the Superdeeps have dropped down to $399 RRP from $599 over there as well. Gotta love the speedy redundancy.
