iPhone - GolfScape App

anyone tried the new GolfScape App?

it's been released by the golfshot team with same sort of layout, i haven't used it yet but wondering if it is more gimick or does it do the job.

also does anyone know how you can make golfshot measurements more accurate with distances to hole?

f, m & back not all that accurate. been mucking around with it for a couple of weeks and it's up to 25mtrs out on some holes.

yeah it certainly does, needs to be an easier way to turn gps on/off.

now we're talking! i was actually looking at a 12v coffee machine the other day when i went and got a new battery and thought that would be pretty cool.

I've got a similar one but it won't fit in the cradle I have ti mount the iPhone on my buggy.

I'm surprised on the 25m that Simmsy gets as I haven't had a problem with either mine or my brother's on several courses as long as you take it out of the gps suspend mode around 30s before you want the distance.

Mega - have you got a pic of your cradle that you could post. I was thinking that would be a handy thing to have.

yeah they do work well, but like mega said they don't fit on the cradle.

Mega - on the 17th i played it on tuesday arvo, i had 113m left to the middle of the green going by the golfshot, hit my 9i (yeah i know everyone else hits a 3/4 SW from 115) came up well short i then lasered it and it read 136m. i had a look at the markers around the place and it looked to be about the 135 mark. there have been heaps of occasions at Hartfield where it is out by 5 - 10 mtrs.

1.5 times the standard IPhone battery. It will also charge the phone quickly.

Simmsy, The app works fine. It likely your iphone has a dodgy gps chip in it. It's quite common. Mine doesn't even work.

So noone has this app yet? Im not forking out $20 something dollars for it and its a fail app.

Would love if someone has used them both and can comment on which is better, golfshot or this.
