Only played Blue Canyon when I was over there.

I stayed there, and played there as well. It was a number of years ago, and from what I've read there has been some changes since I played it. It also had some changes after the tsunami (repairs, mainly)

There is a MASSIVE course reconstruction planned...but it has just been shelved indefinately.

It is OK. Typical resort style with grainy bermuda greens.

I'd suggest you get yourself to Blue Canyon (Canyon Course) and Red Mountain, which is the only course in Phuket I haven't played ('cos it wasn't built!!). Phuket Country Club is also good. There is the Old Course + the New, which is a long, tough & challenging extra 9 holes.

YES...plenty of balls !!!

You can buy them cheap on course (I don't mean in the proshop, I mean boys and girls will have some). If you hit it offline you may even have to buy yours back !!

Played at one course there (can't remember which one - think it may have been Laguna), and blocked it off the tee into the trees. Not jungle type trees, just clear underneath. Would have found it and had some sort of shot back out, no problems.

Anyway, get down to my ball, can't find it...some kid comes up and asks "Mister, ProV for 40 Baht???" IT WAS MY BALL !!! I told him it was still in play (supposedly) and that he shouldn't have done that...the caddy told him off as well. He ran off, still with my ball.... I had to take a drop at nearest likely point and continued to play.

Later on I bought 3 ProV's off the same kid for 100 Baht...and my original ball wasn't one of them!! LOL.

lol, sounds like im in for some fun!
Got a stack of Titty Gran-Z's (which im not fond of) so wont worry me losing a few!
