Anyone heard of Stephen O'Keefe??

Just read on the age website this unknown has been called into the squad for the Pakistan series. The most unsurprising part is he is from NSW :roll:

Isn't that Skull's son? I remember hearing that he was kicking around in some rep sides. Don't know anything about him though.

I'm sure someone keener than me to prove a point will post of link to the results of the recent Australia A games v someone (Sri Lanka I think). O'Keefe was the star with both bat and ball. I guess if you are the best performer in the A Team then you get elevated in the queue.

However, I saw him in the domestic one-dayers and 20/20 last season, and he doesn't look to be anything special.

No relation to Skull, though.

Sounds like he's just a handy pie thrower, and I'd hate to think they have started picking the side based on one performance in a game against Sri Lanka A - Australian domestic cricket would be a tougher test and a better indicator.
