I am getting this in a J33R 10.5* head. Is it going to be a board and should I have opted for a Proto by-you 60s instead.

Don't know that particular shaft but in my experience NO UST shaft is anywhere near as stiff as people believe they are, or will be. Let me know if I'm wrong though cos I love a good stiff shaft (no smut intended).
