One putter is far from a HO...

Ahhhh, if only....

You see that makes my fourth......

And that was after selling off another one last year:roll:

Oh no - if the fourth putter is the definition of ho status I qualify too.

Does it still count if you keep any mention of these purchases from your significant other? Or do you have to live an open and transparent ho life for all to see?

when that changes from year to week, you're there.

 damn ... what is the definition? Since I joined this forum I have bought a set of clubs, sold a set of clubs, bought a driver, sold a driver, bought a 3 wood, hybrid, 3 putters, golf bag, golf shoes ... hmmmmm I seem to see a pattern :smt108

Could be worse, Outcast, as I have a Scotty Cameron being delivered soon.

And 24 putts with a Ping Anser yesterday.

The problem is that if it is shiny then it is really hard to resist

You might be on your way to becoming one but there is lots more ho-ing to do to get fully exempt status

http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php/19204-What-do-these-golf-equipment-companies-have-in-common

To put this all in context, I offer the following:

6 Drivers in the past 18 months (two still in the house)
3 Fairway woods in the past 12 months (two still in the house)
2 Hybrids in the past 18 months (got rid of both)
2 sets of irons in past 2 years (one left but, reshafted recently)
At least two other putters have come and gone in the past 18 months
There are 3 additional golf bags and two additional golf buggies sitting in the shed
6 Pairs of golf shoes (although I have just given my son a pair)

And as previously mentioned; a fourth putter joining the stable nextweek....

Is that more in line with HO status..... or do I have to work a little harder yet?:(

I acknowledge that in yours, Tomson's and probably quite a few others; I have a long, long, long way to go.

I am humbled in the presence of true HO liness.....=P~

Your problem is that you buy AND THEN SELL...

I never sell stuff that I buy for myself, I buy it 'cos I like it, and if it don't work then I make it work better !!!

I would like to do that but, I'm not the most practical of folk. I was thinking of giving regripping a go but, then bought some pull out shafts with nice shiny new grips so didn't need to. I'd probably mess up even that simple job:roll:

Is there some sort of oath I can take that will stop me becoming a ho? (bought a new Titleist bag today)

Nah...it's easy. Some basic knowledge and some practice is all it takes.

I still f**k up the odd grip even now.

Do you use double sided tape and solvent or just glue them on?

Can you use a tyre inflation compressor (runs from the car lighter)?
