Guys,
I am looking at making a bulk purchase of ProV1's, is any one interested in getting some too.
Might be able to reduce costs per dozen and shipping too.
Looking at around $35.00 US delivered per dozen.

I know someone who would be keen for a few dozen, lets assume 3 at that price.

BTW, these are the 2010 model.
Just a thought though....you will have to pay to get them from Perth to wherever you are, about $9.00

Henno, didnt you just buy 100? how many balls do you burn a week? :-)

I bought five or six dozen I think. I have just over two dozen left. I had a bad trot where I went through 4-5 balls per round.

As it is I am lucky to get 9 holes out of a prov1/x before they look like a range ball anyway. I'm no AndyP or adlo!

Maybe you should use old balls in the first place?

i have got 8 dozen new balls in my cupboard, i cant get through them, I accumulate faster than they go in the ponds. Entered a free raffle last month, won a dozen ProV1x, so unlucky, why cant i win something i need.

Sound fair?

Serious observation, for the latest model Pro V1 it sounds too good to be true.

Bushka

Old man uses nothing but the Pro V's so i'm guessing put me down for 2.

I doubt there is a market in Ozgolf for brand new Prov1's at a fair price, when we can get perfect ones for $3 each.

That's a good point. That last deal at $25/doz was good going.

How did I get dragged into this?

How did I get dragged into this?

By having a reputation for using the same ball for 36+holes.

Only after the Z star was discovered

Try 89+ henno :D......but I'm as guilty as him.......we were going for some kind of stupid record, I got 91 holes out of a Z-star. Lucky to keep one in play for more than 18 at the moment though :(

BTW That's cwazy prices hocko....wish I was a Titty player at those prices!!!

OK, I'll ask the obvious question: How can you be sure that they are real?

Obvious answer henno: I can't, but they come from a reputable seller in the US not Beijing.

IanO

I am just hoping they are not like the "new" ones a guy was trying to sell through the golf course boundary fence here in China for 200 RMB a box. One of the members I was playing with was yelling "fakes" at the guy!

The Pro Shop was selling real ones for 450 RMB (about $80 AUD)

Mate of mine got 72 holes out of a Titleist Balata at Alice Springs. To be honest i think at least the last 18 was on a wing and a prayer, it was truly dead.
His nickname was Scruffy by the way :-)

Is very rare for me to get more than 18 holes from a Pro V1, not coz it is damaged, just lost or swimming (same thing I guess)

Wow! I won a dozen at the "worlds best putter" club final in 2008 and another dozen at WA Golf Club the same year and am down to my last ball now. That was over a hundred rounds ago.
You certainly get through them. If I used that many I'd have to switch to a top flite or something.

Hocko,

Sorry mate, just wanting to look after the forum members with my queries. Not wishing to cut your grass, but can you disclose to someone a webpage or ebay link ? Looking at completed listings on ebay, the only ones selling under $30USD are to folks with low feedback or ones using generic photos.

Shipping a dozen dozen balls just last week cost me $80USD with fedex, so $35USD delivered is scary cheap.

Sorry guys some dickhed tried to rip me off, i can still get some at $44.00 US if you are still interested.
I will probably buy some anyway.

Where are the best places to shop for cheap gear in the US? Golfsmith and Edwin Watts? Probably not the cheapest online, but surely their clearance stuff would be cheap???

That's a shame hocko. As is usually said on the forums if it sounds too good to be true...

Cheers for the effort anyway

Good point Megawatty. I will be in Chicago, so would love some input on best places to shop for golf stuff. I found this place ( http://aceprogolfshop.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=APGS&Product_Code=TPROV1XB ) that has the Titleist balls for $39.95

Wholesale price to Titleist account proshops in the US is US$39.25. Obviously, the larger volume accounts get a slightly better deal, but it is not huge.

Titleist just ran a program where you could get 4 doz personalised balls for US$143.85, shipped to a US address.
