OK what's happening here?

When Im typing in the "reply post" box the apostrophe key doesnt work. When I hit the apostrophe key a search bar pops up at the bottom of the screen. The apostrophe appears in that instead of in the reply box.
The apostrophe worked in the thread title. It works everywhere else, just not here.

Most people would probably find this amusing but I need my apostrophes.

It's a Firefox thing...no pranks (I think). Assuming that you use Firefox, try this:

Also, I think that if you minimise the window then maximise it, the problem will stop.
