Due to work being slow and me trying to decide wether to purchase a new putter or not i came across a few very 'different' putters out there. so i figured i would share them with you, Dont know how functional they are but they have to be up there with weird designs.

Hot Rod Putter: 6587

Centre shafted Rife 2 bar mallet clone. Pretty functional if you lose your pencil and wanna shotgun a tinny.

I've actually seen a fair few guys using that Heavy Putter D1-DF... absolutely horrific looking things, almost as ugly as TM's new ghost range putters!

hahaha i rekon the enterprise putter is kinda awesome.

I rekon it would sell like hot cakes if it had scotty cameron or ping on the bottom rather then golfsmith tho.

Always wondered why they don't do a mellinium falcon putter I might make one with an old star wars model and use it in comp. Would be pretty hilarious.

Dunno if it's a good putter, but it gets a reaction and the chicks dig it.

Obviously a woodworker who players golf. Good for him. Thanks Dave - I wonder how the ball reacts off a rolled face?

Should help keep you square to the target line! Looks like the rod across the back is a moveable weight. Is it also a roller? and is that legal?

The chap who designed this putter lives in Arizona and has finished a couple of my old putters. His comments about his design:
"This little design has been floating around in my head for a couple of years and even made it to sketch stage, once or twice. The first time I put it on paper was about 6 months before the Sabertooth came out. At that time, my design had more things in common with the Sabertooth than I can mention. My pictures never left my office, so don't get the impression that I am saying that anyone copied anyone else, just a funny cooincidence. At that point, also, I hadn't gotten the whole floating weight figured out, either. While it may not be 100% figured out, now, it is miles ahead of where it was, on paper.
The body is 6061 Aluminum, completely milled right here at my shop, from billet. No CNC whatsoever for this one, yet. If I get to the point of making more than one, the CNC will be utilized, for sure. The time involved, even for me using aluminum, would make this a very expensive piece to create without the aid of modern computerized assistance, LOL.
The weight bar is out of 303 SS and can be moved to three positions, radically changing the look, as well as MOI and COG with every move. I don't have access to the computerized modeling software that would give me exact numbers, but if we get to the point of producing a few of them, the numbers will be determined and available.
I have done this first one utilizing a True Temper single bend shaft and it gave me a toe hang of approx. 3:15- 3:30. My hand-calculated positioning was off, just a bit, but it still rolls the ball well and fits my stroke, pretty well."
