Where do you want to play?

Ddasey could host us at Wantima?
I will volunteer Bribie if you want to travel north.

Redcliffe, Virginia & Keppera have open comps on Sun.
I would prefer a mid morning tee time or later, it's to bloody cold hitting off at sparrow fart.

PeteyD
18th May 2010, 10:24 AM
10 or so at Redcliffe would be nice. The wife can take the monsters to the beach pool thing if they are keen. Could be possible.

Lucasto23
18th May 2010, 11:02 AM

Lucasto23
18th May 2010, 01:24 PM

I'm a probable. Will let you know by friday. If anyone is a certainty, take the spot before me.

Pete

Lucasto23
19th May 2010, 10:29 AM
Virginia will only know on friday if they can get a group of 4 for me after 12pm cause at the moment it is chocers there, not even a spot for one.
Any other venues spring to mind boys?

Choppa
19th May 2010, 10:40 AM
I'll take the 4th spot if there are no objections. Entering all these rounds in the POTY makes me realise I don't play enough.

Lucasto23
19th May 2010, 10:43 AM
Added, does this round count for extra poty considering your playing chops ;)

Choppa
19th May 2010, 11:05 AM
Yeah mate, $20,000 just for teeing off.

I could get you on after 12 at Reddie Bay, but it is a 4BBB Stableford. What is on at Nudgee?

Hux
19th May 2010, 05:41 PM
Bird in the hand .... bit of travel for the northsiders but Reddy is okay by me. Virginia is not a gauranteed start at this point.

Lucasto23
19th May 2010, 06:42 PM
i don't mind reddy, but would preffer an individual comp. Nudgee is not a go for Eags due to mega membership :(

Eag's
19th May 2010, 06:43 PM
Reddy would be a no go for me and I can't play Nudgee anymore.

Hux
19th May 2010, 08:35 PM
Wynnum??

Eag's
19th May 2010, 09:06 PM

Damn, I would have loved to play an arvo at Wynnum. Put me down as a reserve. I will be over at RQ watching the pennant players, but if I had known the course you were playing was going to be so close I would have jumped in!

Hux
20th May 2010, 05:08 PM
Fkn excellent Eag's. I quite enjoy Wynnum for a friendly wack.

Seems like months since we have had a game as well.....

PeteyD
20th May 2010, 05:18 PM
I wouldn't mind a hit around Wynnum. Wonder if I would be allowed to play 2 days in a row. Were there any other spots?

henno
20th May 2010, 05:25 PM
Put me down if you find a spot or two in the arvo, Poid.

Eag's
20th May 2010, 06:32 PM
There were a few spots between 11:30 & 12.00 but only for 2 players. They might still be there if you ring early tomorrow.

Eags - I have a Wynnum Cup NTP I never picked up - if you can grab it we can donate it to the Ozgolf Champs Prize Pool - $10 I think but better than nothing - let me know and I'll send them an email saying you'll collect it, if that's OK by you

Fun Day. Gotta love finishing in the dark. 90/73 for me, with an ACR of 68 means a played to of 22, yah!. Thanks to Henwah for the round, and the lovely lady we played with. I was expecting the sort of woman Shazza complains about, but she was fine. Pity about my golf, and the fact that it got dark for the last few holes. Stupid slow people in front of us.

Eag's
23rd May 2010, 07:43 PM
Cheers for the game today Hux, Choppa & Lucas. The course was in good shape and the golf was entertaining at times.
I had blown my Hcp by the 8th hole so I was quite happy to pull it back together on the back 9.
85/74 for me.

Choppa
23rd May 2010, 08:00 PM
Thanks Hux, Eags and Lucas. The golf wasn't anything to write home about, but it was an enjoyable round nontheless.

Up and down golf all day for me. 3 birdies, 6 pars and still 12 over for the day

Hux
23rd May 2010, 08:26 PM
Yep thanks for the game guys. I played awful...but getting used to that lately. Putting was horrible - worst in months in fact.

You did have 2 bad ones there. But the rest was excellent. You scrambled really well to make some good scores after some average drives.

Just goes to show what some practice will do for you (or maybe even me) :-)

Putting green :)

Both at present. Seriously plan is Tuesday and Thursday this week.

Do they have decent putting greens at Victoria Park driving range? And are they under lights if they do?

Lucasto23
24th May 2010, 08:40 PM
Putting green is good but not under lights, you can still put under the hue of the putt putt lights and just teasing sorry :(

henno
24th May 2010, 08:42 PM
There's usually a demo day on at Tuesdays, isn't there? I wouldn't mind pretending to be in the market for another set of irons.

Lucasto23
24th May 2010, 08:58 PM
i believe taylormade and yes would be on display tomorrow night ;)

henno
24th May 2010, 09:02 PM
Meh, TaylorMade don't have any irons out at the moment that interest me that I haven't already owned.

Hux

I went to Capalaba tonight.....all I can say if Allenby's bunker tips off his website are far4kin awesome. I was knocking them out so comfortably I reckon with steady practice you would be just working out how close to the pin you can put it all the time. Dry or wet sand, buried ball it didn't matter. I had half the technique in place but his leg position really stops the change in height the gives the dig under or knife result. I was wrapped.
Also thanks to Eags for the reminder on how to stop lateral sway. Much better contact - tending to keep the weight back on the follow through causing a straight left shot but at least banding those Srixon range balls pure with lots less fat shots from the swaying on and off.

Good to hear Hux, it sounds like I may have to check out these bunker tips, god knows I need to do something about my bunker play.
