I played in a charity ambrose day on Friday just gone. A guy that I was grouped with had decided to sport an unusual mode of transportation for the day, a Segway:

It reminded me of that beer ad, "The Future!"

It was actually really useful on the day. As we were all walking up to our shots, he could race up ahead and find or collect the balls for us, saving us time & effort. Can't say that I'll be Hoing one of these any time soon, though. :?

Nice!

I wonder if you could hook a trailer up to that bad boy?

You want one. It's okay to admit it:wink:

they do actually make a golf version that has the brackets to hold a golf bag.

Can't say I'd turn it down if I was given one. :)

Never seen one on the course. From memory they recommend you wear a helmet on the course. Phhhhh.

Couldn't be good on a wet fairway you'd think!

I would laugh for 4 hours straight if someone rocked up on a Segway. They are they gheyest thing ever.

All I would be able to think of is this:

Agree Muldude. Now that is fun and interesting.

(Unlike Appleby's M5 ute project a couple of years back.)

They have done a lot of work to make them quieter Dave. Not sure how loud Bubbas would be. But you do get to go straight over the lakes ;)

Another version, may be in the youtubes (I can't see them, banned). Not being a "ghey" arbiter I am unsure where to place it on the scale.

There are three guys at my club with these. They seem like a lot of fun and functional.

Ian

We had a guy with one - until it snapped the bag holder off the front. The 80 year old couldn't get his clubs back to the clubhouse without Pro-shop assistance...

The guys who have these swear by them, but one of them had the bag holder break off. It was fixed under warranty. The older and infirm the harder it would be. They certainly seem to be a lot of fun though.

I am not sure how they get them to and from the golf course. There must be some sort of car mount.

At over $2,700 they are not cheap, but they offer a 24 month payment deal as I understand it.

Tour issue ear-muffs. 8)

I can't wait to see Haysey drive one of these into a bunker.

They showed a similar clip of Bubba's hover on the news last night and it included audio. It was quieter than a normal hovercraft but still too noisy for a golf course. more R&D needed!

Wanker. That bunker jumped out in front of me, I swear.
