How much should a typical re-shaft cost for an iron? Drummond want 50 bucks for an S300 shaft, is that a good price or not?

Why not get Virge to do it? He will be cheaper than that surely, shaft and installation included.

$50 fitted with a grip might be ok, but the shaft is only about $20.

Learn something new and do it yourself Pup. It is really only a 10 min job max and that includes putting the grip on (not including drying time ;) )
The price is probably about right, we charged $30 about 10 years ago.

Good call MT, especially if you wish to make a profession of golf. You can get epoxy for one club, get a matching ferrule, together with the shaft you are cooking with gas. I used silver duct tape under the grips a la Virge and blow em on and they don't budge a bit.

About $50 is right.. An S300 will set you back just over $20, $25 for labour and $5 for ferrules, tape, epoxy, etc

I usually charge $25 + parts

There is quite a significant bend in my 7 iron, and just a very slight bend in my 5 iron that's just a little off putting.

I doubt it affects my shots, but it's just annoying more than anything. And with some Vardon events coming up I should probably get it fixed.
