Time for another day At Windy.

It will be a MM,so off the blocks and the greens will be MINT as they were renovated a month ago and last week were almost back.

Times will be from 7.30 to 8.00.All names to be finalized by the 23rd of April so can get first crack at the time sheet.

AP.This can be an alternative venue seeing as you are wussing out at McLeod.
Oh but hang on this is a comp round too,so we have the same problem :?

I'm willing to put my home course disadvantage on the line here AP :oops:

Tez, that is one of the worst statements of all time.
I played in the comp last Satdee and those greens were diabolical. I agree that they should be sweet in a few weeks time but last week they had an inch of sand and another inch of fur on top of that.
Quire frankly they ruined the day.

Put me in very light 2B Pencil too. I might chase up Roc and see if he want to do the matchplay thing.

If you had of see them 2 weeks before that you would be amazed at the rate of recovery( I was amazed they went from brown root cover to the 3/4 green grass cover,a little bumpy but 500% on the game before,so at that rate we'll have no worries).2 week earlier it was like putting on roots They'll be fine in a month....Trust me I'm a greenkeeper :wink:

I'll get a report from Trevor after he plays on the 16th "CUP" day.

I know Brown is a country hick, but he's not stupid enough to go to Collingwood, who are going nowhere fast, regardless of money.

His loyalties are at the Lions, because his father played for Fitzroy, and I suspect he may stay there.

If he was to go anywhere, I think he would be tempted to go to Geelong (they should have tried to poach him harder a couple of years ago), as it is only just down the highway from home.

Thanks to Jarro,Iain and Nudgee for a good day and a good practise round on the sledge(Iain was suppling us with plenty of ammo :wink: ).

The golf in our group was very "skanky" :oops: although Nudgee did skank it around a bit less than the rest of us.

69'er nearly had another 10 today but managed to slide an 8 footer in the side to escape 2 in a week :?

yep, a casual pitch and putt for a par (dare I say skanky?) with a shot is going to win on Snake Gully every time.

990B is a fine golfer for a 17hcap. I wouldnt like to play against him for a living. Its little wonder why he has such a high ranking in the POTY from so few games.

We had a very close game with the score most of the day being +1.

Gave him a matchplay tip or two after the game because he made several bad choices, some cost him, some didnt, in the end I have no doubt he would have at least squared the match if he knew what he should have done. Just a typical young fella really, only knows one speed - flat out.

The final irony is finishing 2nd on the ozgolf day, When I lost my ball on the 8th, plugged about 1 foot off the fringe and we couldnt find it, nor be sure where it was, so I walked to the next tee, DQing myself.

After contemplating this, and how much i hate NCR, i grabbed a couple of clubs and sprinted back to the 150m mark to finish the hole. So after what was eventualy a 400 metre sprint (more like crawl) i was completely stuffed, but it seemed to do something, cos i won the next two holes!

Blakey, thanks for the game and matchplay tips, shame they didnt come in handy today i got toweled up in Jr Pennants (4/2). First time i played WindyRoo had fun, course was in great nick. Golfer69, that run was good of Blakey, approach actually hit the green from there, still cant beleive you lost that first one, it didnt bounce and was no where to be seen
