Pulling R9 Sleeve off

I want to change the shafts in my R9 before the weekend. Can you pull the tip/sleeve off an R9 shaft? If so, how?

I'm guessing you just heat up the red section of the sleeve where it says neutral, right, left etc? Surely you can't heat the plastic "ferrule" section can you?

any advice would be great.

Depending upon the sleeve, you heat it exactly as you would when you pull a normal head. The part with the N and NU on it isn't plastic.

You then find a ferrule that fits and stick it on afterwards.

I've done it and it's dead easy.

Have a look on Golfwrx, the main thing said there was don't use too much heat on the metal tip otherwise the paint will discolor and start to flake off.

What 3 said, but be careful and keep the heat moving as the red paint can fade/discolour very quickly! (not that you end you seeing it once its installed)
