So, if Simmsy pledges a showing then we now have 8 starters in total.

It will be good to get a crack at Secret Harbour again, as its been almost 3 years since I last played there. The par 4, 15th rings a bell, I remember it being quite tough. Also the approach into the 17th over water was an interesting one.

Yoss and I were more focused on the match and had to make some aggressive plays which led to a fair few wiped holes on our stableford scores. I had 4 wipes and Yoss had 5. The match update is in the correct thread.

Otherwise, Zeus, Yoss and I had a very fun day at the office. The greens were tricky. The wind was annoying for a good part of the day, it felt like we only had about 3 downwind holes.

Secret Harbour is so much fun. A good venue for an OzGolf major.

Lots of options here on the longer holes, tricky greens in places, tough rough to hit up and the wind can make it interesting - my little demon :)

A good enough course to even keep us lower markers on our toes.

I can't believe nobody has blown Daz's trumpet. Can we get him a merit bar for Ozgolf's Jammiest WAnker? He knocked one a mile past and had it roll back down the slope to hole out - a real miniature golf shot that one - and on the first par three on the back nine he chipped in off one bounce from the deep rough for bird after a rubbish tee shot. Amazing stuff to watch!

Thanks for organising the hit-out Adlo. Great course and we had the best of the weather. I could see it getting ugly if the wind was up.

I had a disastrous front nine with 10 points and 3 wipes but was actually feeling like I wasn't far off getting it together. I managed to reset at the turn and come in with 22 points and a wipe so I was pretty happy with getting back on track.

Daz is not jammy as those shots happen on a regular basis.

Daz was hitting it great off the tee on most holes, not too far behind myself and TourFit in fact, hitting his R9.

It was amazing to watch him hole that approach to the 16th, but nothing beats that putt which ran back into the hole from 6ft past on the 4th.

What a solid golfer (So we'll hush up the very next shot he hit on the 17th, after holing out on the 16th).

Daz is the real deal....he certainly carried more than his own weight at the champs with me as his partner :oops: In the "Play your partners Drive" I Witnessed one of the most amazing 3w shots from 220+m out (after leaving him my usual short drive) at KB that ended up pin high within 6 ft.....he is a seriously good golfer.

Pieface - Thanks for those kind words regarding my play, the putt from 40ft going 4ft past then rolling backwards into the hole, easy!!
Nuffie - The chip in from the deep rough on the par 3 16th - easy! The drive on 17th that got 2 inches past the lady's blocks, too bl**dy easy !!!, hee, hee and all for a massive 31 pts !!.
ID - Correct !! I've always been jammy, and in the great words of Gary Player "the more I practise the jammier (Luckier) I get", good job I don't practise, I would be even jammier!, hee, hee.
