Been looking at the Canon SX 20is or the Nikon P100. Any thoughts?

The P100 has 30X zoom and 1080p video. Canon a little less zoom and 720 HD.

Most brands range change at this time of year.

I'll try to get a chance to buzz you tomorrow about the shipping thing and we can go over some options then with you.

Canon FTW. Video recording aside, Canon's quality is better IMO.

Also note you would require the highest quality (class 10) of SDHC memory card if you want to record 1080p video, which adds to the cost. Most cards are fine, but the data transfer rate is too slow for the camera to write to the memory for 1080p.

What frame rate will it record @ 1080p? I've been looking into these things for the Kodak Zi8 (see the new technology thread) - the Zi8 will record 1080p @ 30 frames per second, or 720 @ 30 or 60 fps. I have found 8 Gb SanDisk SDHC cards for $70 and 16 Gb for $139 (class 10 - Extreme).

Sorry to threadjack, but does anyone know of a good video camera that can capture the golf swing real well - preferably records greater than 60fps?
Oh, forgot to say, one that doesnt cost a fortune. Thanks
