What was your first post?

Somewhat predictably, mine was correcting someone's grammar (http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php/10026-All-Hail-3Balls?p=233217&viewfull=1#post233217).

Perci just wanted to tell everyone how much of a ho he is (http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php/3578-Hi-Im-Perci-and-im-a-Ho-apperantly.?p=69839&viewfull=1#post69839).

What did you want to say to the world, once you had joined?

1st was in 'What putter do you use?' to cybersquat the username.

2nd was 6 months later to expose a viral marketer.

The welcome forum I believe, something about de Tocqueville and why democratic states turn their citizens into whores sucking on the tit that is public funding.

Hey folks,

Some of you know me, some of you don't. I'm a particularly overweight 1 marker from Canberra who is looking to move to Brisbane in early 2009 all things being equal.

Dunno which club I will join (but that is a topic for later), but have heard good things about Keperra.

Cheers,
sms

That turned out to be prophetic!

You just need to sort by post date and ascending.

AndyP
14th March 2010, 06:10 AM
I think it sorts it by the last post date of the thread that you made your first post in. I couldn't find my first.

henno
14th March 2010, 08:50 AM
I sorted by thread start date. So it's not perfect, but only takes a minute or two to work it out (unless you post a lot in years-old threads).

Do you not believe this is your first:

Mine would have been some friendly welcome thread post, being really nice to all the people I would very quickly offend with a thread about the wonders of pornography.

http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php/1-Pick-my-putter?p=10&viewfull=1#post10I doubt it. I was one of the first on here, so it would have been in some thread about the forum startup. This thread would have been bumped for sure.

henno
14th March 2010, 09:22 AM
Sort by thread start date; bumping means nothing. (There is one called "Hi :)" but your posts in there were after that one.)

To the Sin Bin!

oh thats right, you are already there

To the Sin Bin!

oh thats right, you are already there

You also missed the missing possessive apostrophe...

... not to mention the fact that both of those errors were entirely intentional (there's a reason I chose to misspell that particular word, competency).

You are letting him off lightly, what about the missing apostrophe?

Edit - I guess that is because you don't use them yourself!"

I dont even know whats a possessive apostrophe.

and there i was last night trying to figure out what these tenses are (and cannot); perfect, pluperfect, conversive imperfect. Stuff me, when did they teach this crap? I must have done drugs at high school, cos I dont remember a thing, including that bit about being on drugs.

I might have to try english for dummies.

... not to mention the fact that both of those errors were entirely intentional How can we tell? (surely you are not that good that we must assume any mistake is deliberate 8-) )

henno
14th March 2010, 11:21 PM
How can we tell?

Yoss pointed out that Jack spelled competency wrong in his first post. I then spelled competency wrong while defending Jack's English competency. How much more do you need?

Oh, there is this only an hour or two ago as well:

What was the score, i was going to watch the game but this hangover was far to powerful.

Learn the difference between to/too/two!

I now the difference.

Now your just being silly. Some people really need to work on there English.

Forgiven (begrudgingly)

The chances of me remembering more than two posts above the one I am just reading is fairly remote, thats why I missed it.

Oh, there is this only an hour or two ago as well:

Now that you have lined them up, its funny. Can you do that with all your posts?

I do prefer threaded posts, like in newsgroups, but whenever I try to set the forum that way it just seemed so dyslexic.

If anyone tries to correct you on your spelling we'll remove what they had to say. Sounds fair?

So Goughy, you going to delete 3/4's of Henno's posts now?!!

Or was that offer only for Kev!!

Aha, the plot thickens. My inbox has been devoid of ISG reply notifications lately. Now I know why(thanks to a quick message from Onewood)
I'm getting some serious deja vu looking at the users in here :D

My first post was #74 on the forum, even though it had only been open for a few hours, 71 of the others were Jarros

It would appear I personal attacked the Forum Admin. Fortunately at that time I dont think he knew how to ban anyone!

you buggar goughy

p.s. this wasnt goughy's first post but it shows, nothing changed from day #1

I think we should run a prize and only let people with 100 posts or more enter. Come to think of it, that would mean by tomorrow morning jarro would be the only person able to qualify

and here is an example of the worst suggestion ever, why invite women to our golf forum?

We don't want this to be an all Qld affair, so invitations should go abroad.
Fishman Dan, golfgirl and amanda come to mind.
