Need help with project X shaft's

i have been lookng at some 2nd hand Mizuno irons on ebay.
Quite a few have project X shafts in them.
i need help understanding the numbering on these project X shafts.
i curently have Nippon pro 950's in reg flex. 5i SS is about 82mph for me
which of the project X shafts would be closest to the Nppon pro?
hope that makes sense.

I have a nippon 950 pro in stiff in a demo iron I use as a range basher, and it's pretty light and not that stiff. So you'd obviously need 5.0's which are as soft as they go, but even those will feel stiff compared to the nippons.

Not that much closer...Flighted 5.0's will play WAY differently than NSPro 950's. Softest of the PX range for sure, but still a ways off in feel to the Nippons

Hux has a PX in his VR Tour Driver I think. Seems to work pretty well for him.

Nippons are the forshizzle!!!

As mentioned closest to what you have now is 5.0 Flighted (recently put one in my 5 iron to compare to the 950s

Yep Project X graphte (think its 65gm) is stock shaft in the new Nike VR Tour drivers (non STR8 model). Its a great shaft. It perfectly matches my swing and the 10.5* head. In fact its taken a while but I have found THE driver for me...for now anyway. I find the 6.0 flex matches my tempo and swing speed..no idea what my SS is but I am hitting this thing it seems a fairly consistent 250m which is good enough for me. I believe in graphite they only go down to 5.0 though which is reg. 5.5 is stiff and 6.0 is stiff/stong.

What's Nudgee swinging...ask Perci. I think that VR stopped there. If that Oban Devotion 4 was okay for you I think you will find the 6.0 to your liking.

Pretty good, could be a bit stiffer though. The club is at D5 (due to the rat glue to stop that stupid rattle, which it has) so feels heavy compared to my others at D2, but you know what I think I like it heavier. Time will tell though, but into a howling wind at Vic park this afternoon what "waggles" like a soft shaft wasn't balooning like I'd expect, so there must be some magic going on there with the head/shaft combo.

took the time today to call the pro i have lessons with,
he agreed with the 4.5 or 5 in project X beng the closest to my current nippon pro's,
but he did go on to say they would still be to heavy form me & to avoid.
