I just bought a brand new V2 Tour off ebay for $238 delivered. I think I got lucky as I had been watching closely and they were usually going for about $40 - $50 more.

what is the pinseeker option Virge? Obviously it seeks the pin, but I was under the impression the old ones could do that?

Just get the pin somewhere near the middle and it will automatically find the pin. Just easier with a smaller model.

It was personal choice lol.

They are plugs not lengthened shafts so i can remove them without killing the clubs, will just need new grips.

My 52 * 58* and 64 * are all standard length and i have no problems at all hitting the smallest shafts in the bag.

I just figured i'd play it like this till I needed new clubs then get em custom fitted. Somewhere a couple of years down the track.

Get fitted by virge for length at the very least, it will help on the road to improvement. I know from personal experience.

The length isn't really the issue - it is the weight.

Your clubs will have a SW of around E4-E6, which for a 20-odd marker is just ludercous and makes the game WAY harder. And becasue of the weight - you don't hit the ball any further - it just slows you down.

it is like swinging and axe that has an extra foot of handle on the end. You are just slower and less accurate.

I saw some review of the GX-1 on golf WRX... it got panned, offered different distance for the same scan, wouldn't scan in the rain, a few other issues.

90% of the tour uses bushnell, I have used bushnell for a decade, hence the choice.

Pieface
17th March 2010, 01:09 PM
Cool, I know bushnells make reliable gear.

I haven't had any problems with the leupold, certainly not different distances being reported! It doesn't rain in Perth it seems so i'll likely not have to experince the other criticism.

What is it with guys that recommend these lengths???

I've had TWO guys come in this week, from the same Pro, saying that they need 2" over std lengths !!! The first had ordered from me some NS Pro's in X flex to play at +1.25" (my fitting) and the Pro he went to for a lesson, AFTER he came to see me, suggested Dynamic Golds @ +2" (LOL). Swingweight was E9 on this club with his selected grip!! I did a real mock up with his own clubhead and a DG shaft cut to length and a split grip...

He's just been in with his 6 iron demo with a soft stepped NSPro 1050 X, AND IT WAS PERFECT...@+1.25" and playing at D4 !!

Sorry virge im not sure what happened to the rest of my post...

It should of read: Im 6'3" and mine are inch and quarter over standard virge. They average E2-4 swing weight with the Nippon 950R's but they have been tipped and extended to play more like a S flex.

Do you think its worth while me seeking advice from another club fitter to confirm these specs (im only going off what i was told they are) because personally they dont feel like a club that is swinging E2???

Can/will supply video of swing if its of any help as well.
