As the name suggests, I live in Newcastle. I am a bit of a social golfer and am working hard at trying to improve my game.
I will be upfornt, I am a member of another forum, but not a regular poster and i am a bit over some of the dribble.
So....I thought I would have a look here.
I look forward to meeting a few of you when time permits and talking all things golf.

Thanks for the welcome messages guys. You could say that I wanted to keep my username simple and not stuff around with an apostrophe (I am a simple bloke) or I could also claim that Godscountry comes from the Latin term meaning "land of the Gods". Im happy to stick with the Latin because according to differing beliefs, there may be several "Gods" out there. I think such a fine city could not possibly be owned by one God (hence the apostrophe missing which would in my opinion signify ownership by one God).
I hope this clears things up, sorry for the overuse of brackets if anybody is offended.
Oh, and by the way I am not a follower of the barbarian code, Rugby League. I prefer the "animals game played by gentlemen"
