Was hoping that some of the club fitting guru's could assist, I have an Aldila NV 75s in my 3 wd, I reshafted the 3 wood some time ago and during the process I fractured the tip.

I trimmed the fracture and it and installed in my 3 wd. After using it for a little while I have deemed it to short, it may be 5wd or 7wd length now (not sure if they are the same length or not as I don't use either).

I will post the actual shaft length tonight when I measure it. I'm thinking the length may now be to short for any use and will need to be used in the garden.

I measured it against the stock shaft from my 3 wd (which is a fuji) and it was conderably shorter.

Easy rule of thumb

no tipping = driver
1" off = 3 wood
2" off = 5 wood.
3" off = 7 wood.

So the Q is - how much is off the tip ?

Will assess tonight, thanks Virge

May be able to salvage it for someone to use as a 5 or 7 wood.

Aldila NV shafts have a trim of 0' for driver and for FW trim 1" and cut to length from butt!!!

Hi Chappy, I have an Aldila VS Proto 65-5 350 lying around. I pulled it from my Ping Rapture Driver when I had a stiffer shaft put in. It has a rub mark on it from the bag but is fine apart from that. You can have it if you want (just have to work out how to get it to you) I work in the city (Melbourne).
