Newcastle GC - Sunday 14th March

BrisVegas is heading down to gods country and we are having at hit at Newcastle earlyish (7:30am - 8:30am) on the morning of Sunday 14th March.

Anyone else interested? I have no idea what comp it is yet due to the new fixture not being released!

I'm actually driving down on Friday. I need to get 5000kms on my car (novated lease) by the end of March so I don't get a large FBT bill. Thought I'd may as well go on a road trip and see my mate. I'm staying at his place in the Newcastle CBD.

hahahaha. i just finished my lease and hit my 25,000km target (pro-rata) every year. Going from 11% to 20% FBT can be very expensive, as I'm sure you are well aware.

The 10 hour drive is a PITA but if I get a golfing weekend out of it then the blow is softened. I'm on the same deal. Only 20000kms travelled so far this year so unless I do a Ferris Bueller or take a road trip I'm up for a few grand.

Had a hit at Newcastle this morning with dylcross. The course is excellent, as everyone has said it was. We played the whites and it was too much of test for me. I had 27 points with 16 on the back. It was windy and rained for a while and I hit a bunch of weak cuts and two sockets.... Hope to go better tomorrow.

Dylcross had 39 points today thru 17 holes but did a hitler in the greenside trap on 18. He's the best 10 hcap I've ever seen.

it's raining here in the Newcastle car park again. Weird thing is I played PAC dunes yesterday arvo (5 min up the road) in blazing sunshine... Methinks Newcastle gc is actually a northern branch of the melb sandbelt.

We both played really well today, my putter was ridiculous as you can see by the 66.. 9 birdies! lol BV was solid all day hitting quite a few pure little 3/4 shots!

Thanks again, hopefully I can get myself a round at Brooky in a couple of weeks when I am up that way!

Just realised I may have also had a 65 as I picked up on 7 after missing my par bunker save (It was around the 6ft range). I birdied a hole which I got a shot on so the Nett score and amount of birdies doesn't tally!
