sms316
7th February 2010, 06:34 PM
Or Ms Nice Chick.

The anti-wanker thread if you will. We could do with a good love-in.

So who is the true genuine good bloke?

There's many, but for someone so active i notice Jarro is rarely in any sort of drama or conflict and seems to be widely respected.

The guy sent me a golf DVD free when i was enquiring about it. Champion bloke.

Dazza
7th February 2010, 08:07 PM
I'd have to say Jaybam.
He was selling a 3 Ball putter, and I wanted & needed it ASAP. Only problem... I didn't have the funds available until the next week.
Told him the soonest I could pay, he said it wouldn't be a drama and sent it up.

Putter arrived two days later, and cash was transferred as promised the next week.

BrisWesty
7th February 2010, 08:20 PM
Flowergirl and JohnnyBoy. Lovely people!

They come as a double act. When they had me and Mrs BrisWesty over for the night, they took us for a tour of the Mornington Peninsula, cooked a fantastic meal, and offered to have our girls over as well next time.

Seriously though, a lot of quality people on here.

Given Blakey called me on all my ghey accoutrements at Wynnum, I better book a float at MardiGras ;-) (And I was only a suburb away from Manly too.)

1. Bucket hat
2. Magnetic clip on hat for marker
3. Iron covers
4. Novelty wood cover
5. Ball scoop
6. Umbrella holder (apart from hand)

Did I miss anything?

Should do a poll asking whether having 5 or more of the above items mean you can play from the ladies tees at the Champs. (I need all the help I can get at Pelican Waters.) ;-)

AndyP
8th February 2010, 12:46 PM
Do you have a GPS golf device? They are ghey.

I nominate Ned Kelly for bailing me out yesterday when the pro shop at Wynnum wouldn't take card for comp fees. With a name like that he should have been bailing me up instead.

i am sure there are several lovely blokes that are 'members' but to be crowned "Ozgolf's Mr Nice Guy" one would have to be very well known and have a significant post count otherwise you really have no way of knowing his true online character.

I'd suggest 2000 posts as the minimum requirement for a start.

Jarro
8th February 2010, 07:48 PM

Surely we don't need rules for a love-fest of this nature? Just let if flow, man. :smt057

I'll give my vote to Courty since nobody's nominated him yet. Seems a decent chap from 3000km away.

PerryGroves
8th February 2010, 08:56 PM
I don't know anyone on here so can't vote but we bag a mate of ours who is always saying, so and so is "a nice guy"

Massive difference between a nice guy and a good bloke. You can have 10 schooners with a good bloke, you are looking for the exit after the first drink with a "nice guy"

virge666
8th February 2010, 08:56 PM
Shavey has to get a vote seeing as he does a good chunk of the champs !

henno
8th February 2010, 09:15 PM
Shavey.

Met him for the first time at pre-champs game at Pac Harbour last year and had an absolute ball chopping it around for the side-bet. Then we bet on poker that night. Then pool. Then the game on Saturday. Then more bets on poker and pool. Then Sunday's game. Never had so much fun, nor met a nicer fella.

Oh, and not to mention the running around he did to organise the deal for the champs in the first place.

EDIT: virge beat me to it.

so its just 'favourite person' now rather than the "Mr Nice Guy", or by reading other noms its based on personal effort.

Whats next, is it the person who donated the most money?

the lack of definition of what nice guy is, means we now have all sorts of unusual reasons for nominations, many of which are most likely very far from what the threadstarter had in mind. Perhaps he could clue us in now?
