Hey all, I found this calculator which is a generic measurement of distances that takes into account your body type height swing tendancies and some other factors to calculate distances. Good when you are trying to set up a combination of clubs to cover all distances for your overall bag setup. When I put my specs in the info was pretty accurate.

Basically I wanted to know a combination of fwy woods which would best suit my required distances between Driver and my 3 iron. Some ppl say get a 4,7 wood but according to the calculator I would hit a 7 wood the same distance as my 3,4 iron. Therefore the 3,5 combo would better suit me.

Try it for yourself and see how accurate your info is and post it if u want.

Remember everything is in yards so think meters then add 10% appx

I just did it in metres. It's done on a formala, so it should work out the same whichever it's done....I think!

I've converted the yardage values to metres using this conversion page (http://convert.web-max.ca/index.php?select=84&page=2), plus used the 2 and 3 iron values to represent my 18 and 21* Fli-Hi clubs.

Distance For YOUR Average 5 Iron Shot 170m
I am a player that is ... 16-29
My style of play is ... Aggressive
My ability of play is ... Sometimes erratic
My physical build is .. Tall heavier than average
My golf mechanics are ... Good
My training is ... Get help from other players
My average shot is a ... Slight Fade

Driver 258 m
3 metal 233
2 iron 206
3 iron 194
4 iron 182
5 iron 169
6 iron 155
7 iron 143
8 iron 131
9 iron 119
PW 107
SW 92
LW 76

Generally I can push my short irons a club longer if I give it some oomph, but otherwise the figures aren't too inaccurate.

And MW, I tried it typing 169 in as my 5 iron figure, and it doesn't come up with the right numbers.

Cool. I'll go and do my conversions. ;)

So far I dunno what a super cleek is

BTW, I found this when Googling super cleek:

Seems like the formula is a bit shaky on the short irons for a fair few people, and not just for me.

I want to see Tomson fill his stats out for this.
