Whats your best/worst start for your first 3 holes anywhere?

Best = -3:smt038

4 under after 4

but my finest effort in the first Ozgolf champs was better than that.
9,9,4,6 - 12 over, and to cap it off, made 9 on the 9th.

It pretty much a mental effort to continue after that first 9. I would start looking for my car after that.
But then go home to cranky wife and shitty kids....ewww.

The best start I have had has been -3 after 3.
The worst was back to back 10's followed by a triple.

My best was an NCR round. I was crook all week with the flu and thought I could survive. Early morning start and some sudafed - I started birdie, birdie par (11 points in 3 holes), but by the 8th hole I could barely lift a club. I was pouring with sweat and had to walk off. I was still going ok.

Casino GC owns me on the first 3 holes. I was 3 points walking onto the 8th tee in a round at Christmas before going birdie, birdie, bogey, birdie (8 through 11) .... and eventually having 29 points for the day. I felt I was hitting the ball ok, it just wasn't going in the hole!

I think my best start would be -1 after 3 at Mirboo. Birdie par par. Which I might also have replicated at Kooringal. I've never made 3 birds in a row in my life.

My worst start would be the first round of the KV champs where I went wipe, wipe 1 and it took me until the third hole to get the putter out of the bag.

I've had a Par Birdie Birdie start at Bowen before.
Hole 1 is Par 4, 2 is Par 4 and 3 is Par 3.

Worst start... 11, 8 & 5.
Both holes 1 & 2 border the beach, dropped 2 out on hole 1, and 1 out on hole 2.

Was that at Coolangatta-Tweed? I was in your group. I remember you hit yourself in the leg at one point.

Keperra 23/07/2003 11.28 AM from 10th tee, s'ford (SMS will appreciate this)
10th 398 metre par-4 Score 2 (5-wood holed).
11th 433 metre par-5 score 4
12th 199 metre par-3 score 3
(retrieved the card)
Did the exact same thing at Wantima GC in 1998.

Can't recall the worst three in comp., probably those same three holes at Keperra.

How many twos have you made on par fours Ray?

Eight - the best was from left of the fairway on 16th at Keperra, hooked a 7-wood around the trees to a pin back left. It just cleared the bunker and rolled straight in. Pixie and the boys were on the 17th tee and saw it go in and couldn't see anybody on the fairway with a club in their hand.:)

I dont remember, but that might have been when to extricate myself from a dry hazard on the 2nd hole. Surely it must have been hard to take 8 shots from about 50m from the green, if that.

Oh wait, i did see some bloke take about 6 chips to get onto the last green.

Best start - From memory started birdie birdie (might have been par or bogey on the 3rd) in matchplay against Peter RS, but he reeled me in.
Worst start - no idea there have been so many.

Blakey, these are the best or luckiest shots in your life mate; right up there with losing your virginity, your first drunk, winning your first fight etc. ;)
