I'm going to the pyjama cricket that day, and will almost definitely be doing more landscaping in the morning. The sooner it's done, the sooner I can get back to golf.

If i took a sickie on that day to play golf rather than be with the misus i would have heaps more time for golf. Think i will take the stay at work option :)

or Keperra. Funny story about that at Keperra GC. The entrance to the club used to be across the railway line via Keperra Street. In 1959 the railway crossing to the club was closed because of an accident on the line involving a member's vehicle and a train late one night. Nobody was hurt but the vehicle was a writeoff and the occupants (two brothers)were lucky to see the next day. The story goes that the car stalled on the line and one of the brothers said "bloody hell the moon is bright and getting bigger very fast". Shortly after they were driving sideways along the railway track.

the lack of interest in this is because of a massive ozgolf matchplay event at Carbrook. you guys should reschedule.

henno

I'm only playing at Keperra because it's about as far away from Carbrook as I can get.

Henno, I have a brother that we call tsunami dave. He lets it rip, but has no idea where its going.

henno

Tsunami Dave already sounds like a legend. Does he swing flatter than all heck as well?

chrisogigolo
2nd February 2010, 09:50 PM
This thing is a whirlwind. Ask sms how much he enjoys playing with Tsunami dave.... Not much of a fan for looking for lost balls all day.
He did give me the low down on you though... There will be plenty of drinks!

:lol: Tsunami Dave. What a frikkin pain in the arse golfer he was. Ex aussie rules player who was built like a stocking full of walnuts. Had an extraordinarily wristy swing (and yes, flat as a tack too).

Hit the ball miles but anywhere within a 110 degree area. Biggest problem was that he never watched where he hit it.

He remains quite firmly on my list of people whom I will never play golf with again.

chrisogigolo
3rd February 2010, 11:15 PM
Being related to Tsunami Dave i should be very diplomatic... f%#k +t I hate playing with him because he talks so much shite and then hits one fairway and turns around and says, " see, I can hit it 350 metres..". I'm telling you, I've had some blues with him on the golf course. Henno, you interested in joining shaun and showing me some nightlife in Brisvegas after we play...

henno
3rd February 2010, 11:24 PM
Unfortunately I've got a BBBQ to go to afterwards. My nightlife will consist of downing beers and getting eaten by the millions of mosquitoes at Boondal.

No mosquitos at Boondall, they were sprayed last week. Drop in and raid the fridge of Lucas while you are there.

Keperra GC was under water again following Saturday & Sunday's rain. Surely their decision makers must twig eventually that the culvert type crossings and debris in Kedron Brook is creating beaver dams throughout the course.

True. I have to take chrisogigolo to a titty bar on the Gold Coast. I don't want to do it, but I have to make sure he doesn't do himself an injury.

Firstly, Keperra has improved a lot. I've never seen it with rough before. It is still a little rough around the edges, but not far at all from being in ideal condition.

Was a nice round this morning with henno and the gigolo - apart from the fact that the bug which my wife spent all night fighting decided to take me on halfway down the 1st hole. I have seriously never spewed so much in my life, let alone in a round of golf.

Dwayne came out and showed his ugly melon while we were on the 15th tee. Shame really as we were about to unleash a few "better balls" on his roof.

hen 29pts

wot a shame we only had three. I would have paid money to see some of the stuff i saw today... It started as sms was walking down the 1st fairway, "I don't feel so good". He proceeded to have more vomits than Henno had points! I believe Henno has a visual to be posted. Highlight was definitely the waterfall coming out of sms on the 16th tee and the magnificent 2 1/2 shanks by the gigolo...

I've never seen so much chunder. The man's a machine, spewing 3 or 4 times every hole and still playing to one under. Had he not "started to feel better" and finished bogey bogey it would have been an amazing feat.

Sadly, my camera phone's shutter delay missed the money shot, but you get the idea.
