Due to change in work conditions (losing the work car), I'm looking for a second car in the next month. We're really happy with the Kia GC is fairly hefty on juice and it's not really what we were after to do the school run or similar. If all 5 of us are going somewhere we'll be likely to take the people mover.

I'm trying to track down a car up to about $6K for my wife and kids (generally just to tootle around town in). It won't be common that all 5 of us will be in there, so it doesn't have to be a big 4 cylinder or a 6. Then Alaina can be my "star in a reasonably priced car". Alternatively I have contemplated getting a Camry or a 6 cyl and putting it on LPG.

Saw a 2003 Corolla Wagon with 162K on it for $5200 private sale. Seen some 2001 Accents and Pulsars (dealership) with similar kms for $6000 driveaway.

If you've got a recommendation - I'd be happy to know - but WA is a bit far to come to pick it up, though I've always wanted to drive the Nullarbor.

You really can't go wrong with Toyotas for longevity. Of all the cars that my company manages, the Toyotas seem to last the longest and have the fewest problems. I would request a service history, just to be safe.

Dreamteam & Supercoach wise - I'm tempted to bring Chappy or Pav into the midfield as a FWD/MID or Carazzo (or Gilbee in DT) as a DEF/MID at the expense of one of my rookies. Any advice much appreciated as I don't really understand the MPP requirements.

Supercoach - Currently have 2 FWD/MID players (Harvey, Goodes) in the fwds, 1 FWD/DEF (Davis) in the fwds, and 3 DEF/MID players (Goddard, Hodge, Gilbee) in the backs and can't move any of them around.

Dreamteam - Currently have 3 FWD/MID players (Harvey, O'Keefe, Brennan) in the fwds, 1 FWD/DEF (Davis) in the fwds, and 2 DEF/MID players (Goddard, Hodge) in def and can't move any of them around.

Good idea bringing one of the two in as it gives you a little more flexibility if one of the FWD/MIDS that you have gets hurt. It will only benefit you if you have emergencies that are actually playing on your bench that you can bring in if you move the injured player around.

Both Pav and Chappy are playing well and you'll be paying a premium price for them. You can hook up someone like Goodes or Higgins for a lot less money.

But every cloud has a silver lining. I made Goddard my captain, and just happened to have Jimmy Bartel as my vice captain. Ka-ching! 312 points, thank you very much, and my emergency managed 75 to cover up the big zero. Hopefully next week Goddard can recover from the flu (what sort of soft girly-man misses with the flu?) and Kennelly can re-injure himself or something.
