Virge and Scottt speak very highly of the S58 irons. I've only ever hit them in the nets, but they are one of the better looking ping irons that's for sure.

Aren't white dot pings stupidly upright though?

He is tall with short arms if I remember correctly.

I have always liked them... but White dot is 3 degrees upright.

Don't care how tall and how long your arms are - you need to get dynamically fitted for 3 upright.

Otherwise 3 degrees off is about 10 meters left with a good swing.

Just aim right then. As long as you are aware of this, a good swing will still go straight.

Ping will do them, no problem.

Virge
Leigh has said he has already been dynamically fitted in another thread, twice, and they both came out the same.
Shazza has S58's, Leigh, so you can ask her how they go.

Mate,

If they are in your spec... get them. $450 is not a bad price.

Just check 3balls golf first, they sold me mine for just under US$300, even with delivery - you are still miles ahead.

Otherwise you can use that link to haggle with the $450 man.

Not upright enough for you though, probably. (Blue dot is 0.75 up?)

I didn't like the S58's, to much offset for me and too harsh if you missed the middle of the club.

Are you saying you are able to pick up a .5-1mm difference by eye. Because that's the only difference between your current clubs and S58's in the long-mid irons (the short irons are the same). I'm impressed.

Pigs arse, I don't know how ping measure (or TM) but it's a lot more than that, anyone could see the difference.
Just another measurement in golf that's not standard. That's why I wish i could have seen a set of S58's before I got them off Virge, I made sure I checked out the R9 Tp's before I bought them.
