Hi Guys,
Im on the hunt for a hybrid to go between my 3 wood and irons.
I have never used hybrids on course before so am wondering if i should get the #2 or the #3.
If i get a #2 will there be enough difference between that and my 3 wood? or should I stick with the #3 as a direct replacement for the 3 iron?
I hope this makes sense!

Depending on the hybrid and its loft I would go for a #3. What hybrids are you looking at?

To tell you the truth no idea, There seems to be so many of them out there!
Any recommendations? Im off around 20, I want something fairly forgiving with an open face while at address.

what is a #2 or #3

There is no such thing (as a standard) this is just a name invented by some manufacturers and they all vary considerable.

What you need to do is figure out what is the distant gap that you need to fill, and then find the appropriate club to fill it, based on the loft and length of the shaft.

for example if you are looking for an exact replacement for a 21deg three iron, there is little point grabbing a 21 deg head and a shaft 3/4 inch longer,

Something around 21 degrees should be suitable.

Something around 20 degrees.

The A7 is good. Forgiving and neutral. Most hybrids are draw biased.

adams are the ones too go for. a7 or the older a3os would be ideal.
