View Full Version : The Headcover Group Buy (Daphne's) EOI

MegaWatty

OK. So there's been some interest in the Daphne's headcovers. I have just emailed the cheapest eBay'er to see what sort of deal they can do us. I'm after a 3 wood cover. I'll also compare with some of the big gun net retailers and see what we can come up with.

Have a look at the site and throw me your EOI on the headcovers.

I'm quite partial to the Gorilla headcover, although the price from RBG is much more attractive.

MegaWatty
30th December 2009, 01:47 AM
$25 bucks for shipping is the problem at RBG.

I've already got a response back from the guys on eBay, and they seem pretty keen to help us out.

However, once I know how many are keen, I can work the numbers.

So you keen Adlo?

Gheyer than a hedgehog Megwah?

I'm tempted to cross reference the list of purchasers in this thread with the votes of yes in that "are iron covers ghey" we had a while back to see how many we have with strange measures of "gheyity".

MegaWatty
30th December 2009, 02:17 AM
If they had a Brian Griffin cover, I think it could be the best seller they made. However, you have thought of the banana and if a gay man saw that on your golf bag, he will certainly start eyeing you off. As a fellow Ozgolfer, I feel it my responsibility to remind you that what you see isn't what everyone else sees.

But, if you want the banana, then why not?

Nah, the gorilla is still the choice. My driver will be known as Bollo. The Banana headcover would get Yoss way too excited.

If they made a Jaoquin headcover I would take it.

That was just Golfnut. He's been shaved down and is once again allowed out in public.

He should have only had $30 on him, but he lowballed his way to cheaper green fees.

MegaWatty

OK. Got an instant reply this time.

Here it is:

The daphne's hybrids are $12.99 each (gopher, koala & hedgehog). They weigh about 6 ounces each.

The daphne's gorilla is $24.99 and it weighs about 12 ounces.

The Sesame Street covers are $29.99 each (oscar, grover, elmo) and weigh about 10 ounces each.

Angry garfield (garfield w/ attitude) is $24.99 and weighs 12 ounces.

I can ship these all priority mail - which takes 6 to 10 business days. The cost for shipping all of these would be $49.64.

If there is anything else that interests you; let me know!

Also - I should let you know that everything above is in stock, but there are only a few grover and elmo's left and once they are gone - thats the end of them! The company that makes them lost the license.

We also have the last 40, official Stevie Williams Kiwi Head Covers left anywhere (I bought the last 62 when the company stopped making them).

So who's in and who's out? Most headcovers can be chucked in a prepaid Post bag for about an extra 5-10 bucks I'm guessing.

They've arrived! I have just worked out the prices and the shipping costs including postage from WA at $6 ea. The shipping from the US was broken down depending on how many you purchased. Once again, another $6 per H/C.

I think the Sesame Street look pretty cool.

Matty - $37
KristianJ - $56
Collis - $132
AlexMc - $25
Simmsy - $34 (No Aus Post Req'd)

If any of you live close, I can probably save you postage across by shipping to one address.
