1 round to go, and he's up against Kevin Na...

hope Oggie can pull it off, but I have a strange feeling Na might be able to conjur something up, from his experience couple of weeks ago...

He just drained an 18footer birdie putt, with Na an 8 footer on the 2nd playoff hole to extend the suddendeath...

Tuesday, January 18, 2005

A total of 96 players have been invited to the 2005 Masters Tournament, it was announced today by Hootie Johnson, Chairman of the Masters Tournament and Augusta National Golf Club. The list includes 54 US and 42 International players. Among the field are four amateurs and 14 first-time participants.

In accordance with qualifications, invitations have also been sent to Honorary Invitees. The Masters Tournament will be contested April 4-10.

"We have outstanding players competing in this year's field," Johnson said. "We are hoping for another exciting Tournament like we had in 2004."

He competed in the 2004 PGA Championship and played twice in the World Golf Championships. He has participated in the Masters three times (2001-2003).

He's one off the pace, after Padraig Harrington shot -9  , and Vijay is -8 with 1 to play  . They must be playing a different course   , Ogilivy is -1 after 12. I guess Ogilivy had his turn yesterday with his 9 birdie 64, still, hanging in.....

Should be an interesting finish 8) 8) .

A par on the par 5 17th.... :? (with his length, should be an easy birdie)
A double on the 18th :? (too much pressure?)

Might have cost him the chance to reach the top 50s by end of march for a ticket to the Masters

man he was sooooo unlucky today.

He hit a good drive down the lefthand side of the Par 5 17th fairway, iron tugged left into the greenside bunker ... straightforward uphill bunker shot to 9 feet ... hits the perfect putt only to see it lip out  He needed birdie on this hole to get to a tie of the lead at 14 under

now he has to birdie the last. Hits a great drive ... loooong and down the righthand side ... perfectly placed for an approach to a back left pin..... gets to his ball to see it sitting in a huge sand filled divot :x he then proceeded to hit his approach shot fat, then chipped into the greenside bunker and it was all over red rover #-o
